Finishing position
Due to Wigan winning tonight , I just can’t see us getting second place now which will probably see us go to Wigan away in semi final which we have no look there at all
Re: Finishing position
Better than going to Saints but Wigan do look to be building. Not sure we can live with the intensity they’ve shown tonight.

That's my worry. Aggression and tempo.Nu Shooze wrote:Better than going to Saints but Wigan do look to be building. Not sure we can live with the intensity they’ve shown tonight.
They did burn out second half when we played them but they are getting better.
Can our injured players hit the straps in time?
Re: Finishing position
Pressure is on the home teams I think have a feeling it be Cas vs Wire final
Re: Finishing position
We’ve got a hell of a lot more wins at Wigan than we have at Saints!!!Tigersbarmy wrote:Due to Wigan winning tonight , I just can’t see us getting second place now which will probably see us go to Wigan away in semi final which we have no look there at all
Re: Finishing position
Saints look all over place you'd want to be playing them except for like you say are record there is abysmal
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Re: Finishing position
Saints have gone to pot, could quite easily see Wigan pushing for that top spot. They are building at the moment.
At least our record of a 10 point cushion at the top should be safe.

Re: Finishing position

Re: Finishing position
If you mean luck - we've done well there several times in recent seasons.Tigersbarmy wrote:Due to Wigan winning tonight , I just can’t see us getting second place now which will probably see us go to Wigan away in semi final which we have no look there at all
If it does pan out that way (I think it will) then they will be wary of us. It's a one off, winner takes all game. It's all about who turns up and performs.
I'm excited by it. It's do-able.

Re: Finishing position
Indeed we were the first team to win a rugby league match at that stadium. Including Wigan.

Re: Finishing position
I'm not too bothered about having to travel it's a semi final 50/50. We had the home tie last year and tbh we didn't handle the pressure well when we had the game won and should have lost in the end.
We has supporters can play a huge part if we travel,no reason at all why we cannot take 3/4 thousand fans with us regardless of what night it's on.

Re: Finishing position
IF we do finish 3rd and we go to Wigan as many people have said it's a "one off 50/50" game
Fans need to bust a gut to get there and fill the away stand. It will make a difference to the players and let's face it Wigans supporters hardly generate an atmosphere to rival River Plate vs Boca Juniors....

Re: Finishing position
Is there a fixed night on which the 1st v 4th and 2nd vs 3rd games are played? i.e. Which is Thu and which is Fri?
Re: Finishing position
Team who finishes first usually opts for the Thursday night as it gives more recuperation timeSuffolkTiger wrote:Is there a fixed night on which the 1st v 4th and 2nd vs 3rd games are played? i.e. Which is Thu and which is Fri?
