Giants & the bottom 4

Post by SuffolkTiger » Sat Jul 14, 2018 5:56 pm

Interesting situation for Fartown ahead of our game on Friday:

- they need 2 more points from their last 2 games to guarantee a top 8 spot
- their final game is Wakey (H)
- could they target that last game or go all out vs us?

Leeds have Widnes (H) & Salford (A) and need to win both or will finish in bottom 4

Catalans also in that three way mix and have Salford (H) & Pies (A). If they beat Salford I think they will rest players for the Wigan game as they will be safe in the top 8 and have Saints (A) the following week in the cup semi...

I'd go with Catalans to beat Salford, Hudds to beat Wakey and Leeds to win both. Which leaves Wakey needing at least a point against Hull.

Whilst I understand the arguments about stability and forward planning for the clubs, the S8 format iscertainly making every game interesting.

Think Hudds will go all out to win against us then they don’t have the pressure of the final game and don’t have to worry about the result.

If I’m honest I think Wakey or Hudds will be in the bottom 4. Can’t see Leeds slipping up in final two games.
