The companies are added when they are signed. Would be really strange to be doing this if it wasn't happening.

Hopefully on Thursday we can start to get brexit out of the way and the country can move on.

I think you will find the only thing that has been 'signed' so far are the terms of agreement - which are the norm for a commercial development of this type.
Only when the parent contract is signed are the retailers then committed.

I bow to your better knowledge of these things.

So I take it the adding to the companies is a move to try and entice others to join? Rather than a company signing up and wanting to be associated to the build. I don't know or could it be both?

A mixture of both. The key factor depends on how retailers see their future. With the ongoing downturn in high street / shopping centres sales, allied to the growth in online shopping, retailers will be looking carefully at all options, including downsizing.
The Axiom development, has 75 units, that is a lot to fill in the current climate.

60 units.

It was changed. Also 1 is a garden centre and 7 are catering - not sure if these are going to be the ones run by The Bus Business or not or whether that is separate.

A lot of the units are also very small stores so I imagine the anchor stores will be ones targeted first. Makes it easier to sell if it is getting built and units are signed up.

So 14/52 retail units.

Yes, lost track of how many times it has changed.
14 out of 52, 26‰ uptake
Or 14 out of 60 units, 23% uptake, presuming they do take up the option.

Neither 23 or 25% are close to the trigger point or is it done in sq metres taken, as in the 14 taken up might equate to a larger %?

Square meterage, which as you say will give a higher overall percentage, however it still means that at present circa 75% of units remain unsold.

Why can’t they think of putting the stadium in the middle of the racecourse as there is plenty room for parking and utilities would be close enough to tap into the racecourse utilities and it would utilise the dead space in the middle of the course !!
Discussion Please !

Land isn’t the issue it’s having a spare 20 million that’s the problem.
If we had the money to build anything Wheldon Rd is the perfect spot. But the bottom line is we don’t have the money.

I'm certain there is. Some of the larger stores like M&S, Next and Primark take up several lots. I'm sure HuddsTiger has the correct info.

There are 60 units but as mentioned previous page, one is a garden centre and 7 are food outlets.

Also remember that a lot of units are small shops and not that big. The huge anchor ones are like over three floors for example and take up a lot of the floorspace.

Don't think in terms of numbers of stores, think in terms of floorspace. Remember at the point we had 12 earlier in the year they had 55% signed up of the floorspace.

So in essence, we could be up to over 75% dependent on which units are signed up and the size.

So we don't know if beaverbrooks has signed up are not and we don't know the % taken up.

We do know that beaverbrooks are added to the list on the website,

I'll look at the positives and say it's now more likely than when they hadn't been put on the list.
