I wonder if this date coincides with the reported “good news” for Wakey?

On council planning page latest planning stills says decision pending on latest modified plans .Still say the silence from axiom and lateral suggest the scheme as hit a major funding problem. Hope the march 12th that's being mentioned is not to say this, and wakefeild council announce a stadium share with wakey being offerd . only a special few people seam to now what's happing while most fans kept in the dark.

I'm sure they are looking at options but to knockdown and rebuild our ground would cost millions and to do it right it needs rotating 90 degrees. Then we lose the training pitch, so you have to factor in another and the cost. Also parking would be a lot less. And then where does the money come from? A knock down and rebuild is more than a new stadium. Never mind where do we play for 2 years.

So we look at a new stadium, we have to buy land and transform it, without the chance of doing it on the cheap and sharing resources, like if your owner was say, a builder that builds stadiums and the like.

If what some posters say is even part true, who's funding it? Doesn't sound like the fultons would.

I'm not hearing of any multimillionaires wanting to build it for us or even loaning us the money. Let's say we took a loan and paid interest, in a good season we can make 400k but that'll cover interest and only a little off the lump sum. Then, forget mid season signings and keeping up with the top 5.

To sell WR isn't viable as it's not required for housing and the supermarkets didn't want it.

Axiom can't trade without a stadium, fact. So if its dead, we are in the same boat as wakey, begging the council and in reality, which stadium would bring in more support and money? Which team has a quarter more support each match? Who owns a stadium that could be used in part to pay some costs and reduce the loan?

The timeline for Axiom isn't broken yet and if 12th march is a date for something, what's the harm in waiting till they say its on or off?

Has I said all out eggs are in the new stadium option and everybody hopes it comes about because I don't see where we would go if it's not built for us

Imagine having no collateral except the players and the name like Wigan, hudds, Salford, London, Hull and wakey. Some try to make a.small profit after rent etc. Most don't and are bleeding half a million plus each year.

We make money and it's the clubs. Our club is over 90 years old. Try not to panic.

It is what it is my own view for what its worth is in a couple of years or so any team without a ground meeting the required standard won't be in super league

And so be it if that happens.

Will make a mockery of Super League having half empty shiny new stadiums for most of the matches. Wigan only fill theirs on derby day, Huddersfield and Salford with 2-4K attendances and then us in the league below getting a 3/4 full stadium.

Since when have the powers-that-be ever worried about reputation or image as a result of one of their nonsensical ideas.

The renters better have a long term lease. Let's say one of their owners jumps ship and they can't afford rent. Then out they go. Maybe they should have to lodge an amount of monies or have the rent prepaid.

You also then need franchising back. That didn't work very well. Also no promotion or relegation

They also would need a bedding in period to give teams the chance to correct their grounds, voted on by super league of which those teams would be the voters.

If 6 teams fail the test, would they have a 6 team league.

In the short term, it won't happen. Maybe in 10 years.
