I can. The RFL are mostly interested in sponsorship and TV revenue. They want games on TV in shiny new stadiums, not at the likes of Wheldon Road and the Mobile Rocket Stadium.
Nothing to do with the RFL. Super League is a separate entity which is governed by the club's so in order for licensing to be reinstated the club's must vote for it. And even if the club's did vote for it they would be the ones setting the criteria

I realise that Wheldon Road needs a facelift, but which other ground in Superleague has a better atmosphere? Toronto? That will soon dissipate without a winning team. Catalans? Definitely, but like Toronto have very few supporters willing to travel. Hate to say this, but Headingley probably has the best atmosphere even when the Rhinos are playing well below expectations. But the Jungle even when attendances are lower than expected very rarely disappoints. Other clubs hate playing there, but if (and it’s now a big if) Cas moved to Glasshoughton or anywhere else wouldn’t generate the same atmosphere. The Sky commentators often remark on the atmosphere at the Jungle. I’d much prefer Cas to stay there, if only money could be found to reburbish it, that’s the rub. We need an injection of cash and I reckon it’s up to Superleague to provide it or towns that are the grassroots of Rugby League will be consigned to the Championship, and that will be a great pity.

You are right about the atmosphere at the Lane a d I doubt that it would be better elsewhere.

Unfortunately Wakefield MDC have not supported any of the clubs progression to new grounds and it may be time to follow Wakefield and try and develop the existing ground.

Will be interesting to watch development at BV as the new Conservative MP there has just backed getting a redeveloped ground as one of his priorities.

Very welcome news considering the farce that was Newmarket.

I would hate to see Axiom going the same way but retailers are having g a tough time at present and Cas need to be looking at a plan B surely.

Disagree about Headingley having the best atmosphere in SL

Shiny new stadiums with nobody in them you mean?
Warrington used to be very similar to Cas. Believe me, the best thing that ever happened to them was moving from a dilapidated Wilderspool stadium.
I visited them in connection with the Opus proposed development (supermarket at Nestle and new stadium near Xscape) the business model at the new ground is miles in front of what ever the old ground could have ever achieved.

The change of ownership also played a massive part in the regeneration of Wire. Wasn't just down to new stadium.

Out of interest how did Wire finance their new stadium?
I don't have a favourite second team - it's Cas 100% for me

The key was the new stadium, this in turn attracted a more forward thinking board and investment.

Just seen this in league weekly ( The main contracter GMI from Leeds have recently put up some more cabins and word has it that once the stores are well underway then the 10,000 capacity stadium that should have been ready for 2021 will start going up )

I thought the ground was to be built first on the back of all the companies signing up?

The build can run alongside each other but the stores can’t be occupied before the stadium is finished and able to host sl games.

It was a [REMOVED] take from a wakey fan when we all now it's not happening now. Very poor from somebody in the media off the game should be sacked from the rugby media.

If there was anything to report RE stadium it would not be leaked to a reporter, the builders and the club would be shouting it from the roof tops, some more false news i think
