But I guess it depends on what the doctor says. Then there's discomfort, pain, damage caused by training, playing etc
However they get better and quicker treatment/rehabilitation/Medication than us mere mortals
Goes to show the advance in surgical technology. It would take a super human recovery to see him again this season if he has had his appendix out though.
Even kicking would give him problems you'd think given its lower right torso surgery and he's right footed?. The stretching and kicking motion involved.
Note Larne Patrick is also missing from the photo of the players do
It's also very common for players to be isolated from their colleagues when they have bugs and viruses....in the rumours thread Yorkie states that they've got a stomach bug

Let's not forget that we once claimed Rangi Chase was in court in Australia and might not make it back for a semi-final.
He had never even left West Yorkshire.
I have a feeling Luke was going to be rested against Wigan and Hull, given they might be playing us in the semi final or grand final. Why expose him to the risk? I hoping the club are creating a smokescreen to unsettle whoever we get in the semi.

Typical just our luck
Your recovery time depends on the type of surgery you had. If you had laparoscopic surgery, you will probably be able to return to work or a normal routine 1 to 3 weeks after surgery. If you had an open surgery, it may take 2 to 4 weeks. If your appendix ruptured, you may have a drain in your incision.
So really depends what he has actually had done but its unlikely he will play again this season you would think. Rugby League is not exactly a normal job

Isn't tom holmes still at the club until end of season looks like he could get some major game time before he goes

I'd be tempted to play Trueman ahead of Holmes, I already think he's the better player and throw in he's going to be at the club longer it could make sense.

I'd rather he had his appendix removed than face Wigan and Hull in the next two (irrelevant) games.
At least the medical staff will have tried to do as little damage as possible.
Wigan would have tried to put him out for the year by attacking his knees.
Hull would have gone for forcing him off with concussion, meaning he would miss the semi.
