Hitchcock signed from Fev. Can only guess be a back up player.

Has it been confirmed? I have to be honest and say diplomatically that I am not overly impressed with it, if it is true. With us hardly playing on Sunday last season I ended up watching Fev 3 or 4 times. In those games he was nothing out of the ordinary at all, at that level, never mind ours. Two of the games were against Bradford and Leigh early on in the season. However we will see what ascertains.

Plus is he taking up quota spot? If that's the case then I really don't see any sense in it at all, but as said we'll see how it unravels.
So I said to the Taxi driver, "King Edwards Close". He replied "It's alright we'll lose him at the next set of lights".

why on earth would we take up a quota spot with someone from a lower league who hasn't pulled up any trees last season

to be honest the person who has posted the info has only posted four times before so maybe truth but also may be a wind up

Lets hope it's a wind up VB. It's not on the official club website, so it may well be.

Someone has put a wikipedia up on him. There is a picture of him there, that looks very much like it has been plucked out of the archives by his agent as it looks nothing like the player I saw last season. It makes him look a lot bigger, muscular, and athletic than he actually is.

Some poor knowledge on this thread.
No idea if the story about him going to cas is true (he was linked with Workington, but it's interesting he seems to have recently started following one or two Twitter accounts relating to Cas), but...
Firstly, it's Jy Hitchcox.
Secondly, whilst he's by no means flawless (his defence can be a bit hit-and-miss), he is a real talent, especially when played on the left wing, has a great hand-off. Check out his youtube highlights below...more than a hint of Graham Steadman in his running style, am not saying he is that good obviously but he defintely has quality about him. Fell out with Jon Sharp shortly after Sharp arrived at Fev, and even though Sharp did very well after he took over plenty of Fev fans very disappointed to see him go.

This lad is very highly rated at fev amongst their fans, looking at those clips you can see why he looks like he has a good skill set to go with his pace and clearly has a touch of class with the ability to entertain,I'd say he would suit our game to a tee. It won't please everyone if it's true but Powells motto is we don't sign names we sign players.

I've said before on other threads that their just aren't many top players on the market and sometimes you after take a punt on a player. I'd be happy with this lad fighting for a shirt with Monaghan and solomona he certainly looks an improvement on James Clare.

He looks ok and would go well under DP. At 26 he's a bit older than I thought. Good feet and hands.

Ive not seen him but would seem to be a typical powell signing and what hes trying to achieve, the last signing will be the wow factor one... I hope

Just watched the highlight reel on Jy think he would make a good signing I could see him as full back took some good balls and a very strong runner

He played his best football when moved to the left wing. A bit hit-and-miss under high balls at full back, though always a threat to go the distance when he caught it (that was Jarrod Sammut he left trailing in the London game on the Youtube video btw).

The next Billy slater ?
Seriously thought he looks good on his highlights.....but so does everyone .even me .!
He looks like he can tackle.might be a good apprentice for Dorn .which would suit me .better than pushing soly or Roberts to a position that I don't think they like .
