Tyrone McCarthy
Re: Tyrone McCarthy
The reason he got cut cut by the dragons is a simple one, he can't defend to save his life and the main problem is neither does he want to. He is tidy enough with ball in hand but was a revolving door at superleague level and just not up to the physicality side of things.

Re: Tyrone McCarthy
Obviously! It just s ems strange that with not having a game next week, for a player to come in on a months loan when he's not able to or chosen to play for the first two weeks.Fumper27 wrote:Wasn't selectedNORTHWALESTIGER wrote:Anyone got any idea why McArthy didnt play today?

Re: Tyrone McCarthy
Danny made the right call and proved it yesterday. Our pack was back performing how it should be yesterday.
Lets face it we will prob get the loan extended anyway so not too great of a loss him not playing this week.
We got the 2 points and that's the main thing!

Re: Tyrone McCarthy
Does seem to be a bit of waste of money to bring him in and him not play! Unless there is injuries nobody deserves to be dropped for the next game thats for sure.

I'm sure Danny said in the C&P that the loan isn't or hasn't cost us anything

Could be wrong but I'm sure the parent club still pays the wages.BCT wrote:I'm sure Danny said in the C&P that the loan isn't or hasn't cost us anything

Re: Tyrone McCarthy
Spoke to steve gill yesterday and he said mccarthy was ill during the week and thats why he didn't play. If he did then it would have been walker who missed out

The club that takes the player using pays an agreed amount of the players wages plus expenses. He will be cosing something for the month even if it isn't a vast amount.Matt wrote:Could be wrong but I'm sure the parent club still pays the wages.BCT wrote:I'm sure Danny said in the C&P that the loan isn't or hasn't cost us anything

And the deal is determined between both sides - there isn't a set amount. We could pay 5% or 95% - it depends on the agreement with Warrington.
We could have said, we'll give him full-time training and possible game-time for a month if you pay 100% of his wages.

Re: Tyrone McCarthy
He was already getting fulltime training with warrington. If he was ill fair enoughbut i did wonder about the timing when e signed him when we knew we had a week off coming. I'd have waited a couple of weeks and saved the cost.

Re: Tyrone McCarthy
IMO Walker played his best game for us. Hopefully the McCarthy signing will make players like Walker fight for their place.big-fish89 wrote:Spoke to steve gill yesterday and he said mccarthy was ill during the week and thats why he didn't play. If winning isn't everything why do they keep score?
