CasForum Football Predictions - DISCUSSION

Post by legionited » Mon Jul 25, 2011 12:16 pm

What does everyone want to see from the predictions competition this season? All ideas are welcome.

The format to the competition will probably be much similar to last season. There will be a number of Premiership fixtures, as well as a small number of lower league fixtures and a couple of other extras.

Each week I will select 1 match where there will be points available for predicting the first scorer as well as the scoreline. Normal points are available for the scoreline, 5 points for the first scorer and a bonus 5 if you predict both of these exactly right.

I will also select another game where there will be 5 bonus points available for predicting the correct half time score. There are no bonus points available for getting both of these right.

I will also include a "wild card" fixture which will be a high profile game from a league outside of England such as Real Madrid/Barcelona, AC/Inter, Celtic/Rangers, etc.

I am not sure whether to continue with the "Total Goals Scored By..." prediction as I think it was too much of a random event to predict accurately. My current feeling is to not bother with it.

I will aim to include as many televised games within the predictions as possible, particularly when it comes to the wild card.

If any players have preferences for which teams they'd like to see included more then please post them in here. I normally try to include Leeds, Sheff Wed and Sheff Utd each week.

Any other suggestions?

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last week, everything should be back to normal from tomorrow.

Cheers!

There will be no predictions this weekend due to the international break which is handy because I need to get last week's predictions sorted anyway.

Sorry for the lack of info and updates on here as of late, I've barely had a chance to get onto here at all so as a result I'm going to cancel this week's fixtures (just in case anyone can't do them) and do my best to get everything back on track and ready for next week.

Cheers,
Sean

No fixtures this week. Not many games due to the FA Cup and I think they're likely to be 1 sided affairs.

No fixtures this week due to mostly international games which are taking place on Friday. If they had been on Saturday I'd have probably put some up.

I've managed to complete all of the results, the tables will be sorted shortly too.

Cheers.

Sorry for the late notice everyone but I've just not had a chance to get on here this week so unfortunately there won't be any predictions for this weekend's games.

I will be catching up on the results and posting the next set of fixtures early next week.

Cheers,
Sean

There will be no predictions this week due to the likelihood of one-sided affairs in the FA Cup.

Sorry folks but there won't be any predictions this week. Completely my fault and I've left it too late.

Back on next week of course.

Cheers.
