Labour also accepted the referendum result.Flat Capper wrote:I'm not reading all that diatribe but on the point of democracy, I'll point out our actual democratic system that has serve us so well:-
MP's stand on their manifesto and you either like it, and vote for it, or just don't. There are many issues decided by Parliament and we put our trust in the elected members to act upon what we vote for. If they fail to do that, they run the risk of losing at the next election and every MP voting against a 'no deal' Brexit is fully aware of the potential consequences.
The referendum result was not legally binding and did not force any Government to implement it although the Tory Government did promise to act on the result. That did not bind any other political party to do the same but on the basis of the above, they’d be taking a huge risk if tey fail to follow the wish of the public.
I truly believe in our democratic system and fully expect the British public to vote in accordance with their wishes at the next election. If they decide to retain the current incumbents then that too is their wish. True democracy.
Removing the ability of our elected representatives is not democracy, it's a dictatorship.
Your Brexitiers are so entrenched in your self-righteous nonsense that it is you who cannot see the wood for the trees.
It's just a bit of political posturing. 8)Fumper27 wrote:Jesus Christ!!! Me v Flow or Vinniedog v Robbo have nothing on the spite and vitriol between you guys

You can add Castleford to the list of places too if you like.Still waiting...
What are the benefits of a no deal Brexit for people throughout the UK?
In what specific ways would a no deal Brexit improve the everyday lives of people living in: Newry, Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Hull, Ipswich, Swansea?
If anyone could be so kind as to give me an answer?
Thanks in advance.
now can we have a report on the best case scenario please?WF10 wrote:Oh...WF10 wrote:Ahem...

You are showing yourself up, Blair was "new labour" an million miles away from traditional Labour, in fact Thatcher said new labour was he greatest achievement, so lets be honest and call then Tory lite. As for the coffers being empty, that again was disproved by the governer general of the bank of England, but you obviously know more than himCasRus wrote: ↑16 Sep 2019, 09:11 So, where the f..k was Labour supporting Castleford in the Blair Years eh !!!
Don't blame the Tories for everything when Blair and Brown were in power snd left the coffers empty and Castleford had sod all to show for a long Labour stint in power !!
You lot make me laugh !! Castleford has been Labour controlled for how many years and its a sh.th..le !!
The best case scenario is that we remain, bojo gets jailed for lying and we get a socialist goverment. Simple isnt it? even you should understandalftupper wrote: ↑14 Sep 2019, 14:06now can we have a report on the best case scenario please?WF10 wrote:Oh...WF10 wrote:Ahem...

So, Now you are making it up as you go - Labour is Labour so stop trying to wriggle out and by the way your Labour controlled bias council have spent more money in Wakefield than poor relation Cas and that ain’t right either !! Labour when they were in power disks not improve Cas one iota so stop banging on about it being all the fault of the Tories as you are utterly wrong !! The blame game has 2 sides of a coin to consider !thedogvinnie wrote: ↑16 Sep 2019, 11:35You are showing yourself up, Blair was "new labour" an million miles away from traditional Labour, in fact Thatcher said new labour was he greatest achievement, so lets be honest and call then Tory lite. As for Cas being Labour controlled, again you show a level of stupidity usually reserved for wakey supporters, every council requires government funding and it is a fact that the Tories are deliberately underfunding every council they do not control, you will be aware of that but it doesnt suit your agenda does it, therefor the damage being done to local communities is caused by this underfunding. Its not hard to understand, once you get your head out of the Sun or Mail.
I pity you mate, really genuinely pity you. I can only hope you are fishing and not in the least serious
I just knew you would react like that to the truth, the truth hurts sun readers like you doesnt it?CasRus wrote: ↑16 Sep 2019, 12:59So, Now you are making it up as you go - Labour is Labour so stop trying to wriggle out and by the way your Labour controlled bias council have spent more money in Wakefield than poor relation Cas and that ain’t right either !! Let me ask you a question. “ if you think Tories plug more money into supporting Tory supporting areas than Labour then why didn’t you support your local Tory in the past ? If you want Tory’s to support you then support your local Tory to gain more money into the Cas area as let’s face it, Labour has not done much favour for Cas in the last 50 years and all you lot do is moan and groan about your lot in life - if it’s not working then change your affiliation or Are you one of those people that’s kicked in the nuts forever and a day and then ask for more ! Now that’s what I call Brain Dead !! Now you did say Tories support Tory areas so it becomes a common seabed no brainier for me as to what you need to do to get Tories to flood money into the Cas area as why would anyone want to support an area that votes against you !!
By the way, it is governments job to look after the whole nation, not just those who voted them in, that just about sums up the difference between Labour and your neo nazi Tory party.thedogvinnie wrote: ↑17 Sep 2019, 07:53The difference between me and the Tories (including yourself) is that I have a social conscience, I help at the local food bank, you scoff at yours.CasRus wrote: ↑16 Sep 2019, 22:13F me ! I am happy with my lot in life but i care about others, you care about yourself only and taunt the unfortunate.
You may support the Tories but the sad thing is, when they cannot extract any more from the poor sods they are targeting now, they will move on to the foolish who follow them, you are not public school educated, you are not "old money" and that makes you a target, you know it deep down but are hoping the cull on the homelesss, disabled, elderly and poor will continue just long enough so you will be gone before their sights are on you.
There is no hope for you, the Sun and Mail have done their job.
I will leave you to the rest, I prefer to talk to people who can at least form their own opinions and not follow Murdoch blindly.
You still have my pity
