We have a coach with some authority which is why we don't have him

if we had a coach with some authority of course we would have to have him. It would be a choice between arguably the best scrum half and kicker in the league and an aussie has been (who is probably costing us more money)

how about Paul Ince? he has a track record of making unfashionable provincial clubs competitive in the lower football leagues.

Re: Vandals damage Tigers' pitch

The Ponte & Cas are today reporting that vandals have attacked the pitch at our Wheldon Road stadium leaving divots all over the turf . The valdalism now leaves stadium manager, John Lupton, and his team in a race against time to get the pitch fit for the Tigers Boxing day match against Gateshe...

no one should be suprised at this, he arrived in the same condition last year and you have got to say that apart from the odd performance he wasnt worth the drain on the salary cap. a complete disgrace. I hope the pubs of Cas and Ponte have increased their orders in anticipation for these two drunks...

my comment was tongue in cheek and yes I know it was Donlans decision as much as anybodies to return to Leigh, however the point I am making is that we are left with a player taking up a large amount of salary cap allowance and one we don't really have a positional vacancy for. I agree with your ear...

Ryan is class playing centre, so play him in the centre unless absolutely necessary to do otherwise! Again, whilst Matterson is coach - this won't happen. TM has to (or at least should) select the 17 that gives Cas the best possible balance for each game. Ryan may well have been a centre before com...

looking at our squad we really are spoilt for choice when it comes to leadership material, here are some possibles.

Hudson - drug cheat
Sargent - criminal record
Boyle - criminal record
Chase - charged with assault
Faumuina - serial drunk and court case pending

I really do hope they give it to one of the local lads.

to give it to one of our no mark aussies is a slap in the face to the lads who have a passion for the club.

Westerman for me.

Sherwin looks to be going through the motions and would be a poor choice and Hudson is a drugs cheat and would be a terrible example.

How about a sweep on the weight of our illustrious scrum half on his return to his beloved club?

I'll go for 15 stone dead.
