Re: Third Shirt

At last! If it outsells the other shirts, as I suspect it might, it will send a message to the club.

Re: Meet the Directors

In June expect 6 new contracts. 2 out of contract players have decided to leave. Two bids have been made for Trueman by one club. Both rejected and the club involved told not to try again. Talks being held with Trueman and McShane to extend and upgrade contracts. For McShane it would take him throug...

Re: Season ticket Refund?

I would be prepared to write off the money I've spent on season tickets (3).
I don't live close enough to Castleford to take much advantage of the discounts that season ticket holders get but I have used my card in the club shop, for Magic tickets(!) and for a family meal in one of the restaurants.

I am an infrequent poster but regular reader of the forum and have been for many years. Like other users I do not live in or near Castleford any more so the forum provides a source of information. It does suffer from the problems of other social media platforms and I do find things irritating at tim...

Re: 2019/20 CLUB COLOURS - INITIAL POLL RESULT

My preference is definitely to go Black and Amber. Even to go retro and have a home shirt similar to the late 1950s early 1960s.
I was told orange is good because it stands out well on TV but that certainly can't be said of some shirts recently eg the ones for Newcastle.

1st March 1967 perimeter fencing broken down, Cas beat Hull KR 13-6 in 2nd round cup replay. Attendance 22,582, believed 8000 more were in the ground. Before the start of the 1970-71 season - "With extra income from two consecutive Cup Finals, ground improvements were made including covered acc...

Re: Fixtures

Unhappy but resigned. As supporters who travel for an hour or more to get to games, evening matches mean late nights driving on a motorway afterwards. Like Yorky we buy our season tickets to support the club. Can't see our son travelling from South Shields for matches.

Wasn't it after a 1960s cup replay with Hull KR? So many wanting to get in that the fencing at that end was pulled down.

Re: fixture changes

Disappointed with the changes. We buy our season tickets as soon as they are available and reckon we're bound to miss a couple of home games due to holidays. We then tend to make arrangements around the home fixtures as far as possible. Travelling 50 miles down the A1/M1 is no fun at this end of thi...
