Re: Last
Wakefield played some exciting free flowing rugby that Wire couldn't live with and Luke Gale rolled back the years. Don't think we can do anything to turn the tide now, champ rugby here we come. On their day, Miller & Widdop are unplayable! We need to find the reason for their misfiring it asap.

Re: RELEGATION
If they beat either Hull or us, I think we’re down. Even if we beat them, as we always seem to do, they have more fight than us & can easily make up the PD or two points we steal at their place.EvaTiger78 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 17:00 Not to mention wakey are more than capable of winning at hull next week

Re: Stadium
I think you may have missed my central point, bud. The local plan, which is a land use classification document the council publish every five years, still lists j32 as green belt. This hurdle explains why we’re pushing the issue of positive local statements but also shows the developers don’t necess...

Re: Stadium
For what it’s worth, my professional opinion of the flooding issues are that it’s easily overcome if we act now. On the green belt issue, that’s the fly in the punch bowl in my view. Passing a application this big is hard enough. With green belt being involved, it’s far from straightforward.

Re: Stadium
I think the environmental agency will be using worst case models & factoring the likelihood for extreme weather being viewed as greater now & in the medium/long term. The worst possible outcome would be if the council saw their hands as being tied & referred it to a public inquiry. Whils...

Re: Stadium
We all know where he’s got the lion’s share of his information & it’s not the council portal!
At this point, the amount of truth in his articles is almost irrelevant. The more people talk about this development in a negative way, the more people believe it’s dead in the water.

Re: Stadium
The last thing we need at the moment are people planting the seed that our stadium development is on the rocks. The IMG criteria are very clear: plans mean nothing & clubs are judged on the facilities physical exist.

Re: Stadium
Whilst this is fantastic news, I’m concerned with how long it will take to get the enabling development over the line. It’s currently designated as green belt land & that always opens the door to a public enquiry. We’ll just have to keep a keen eye on the documentation that’s added to both appli...

Re: Stadium
Whilst a ‘sugar daddy’ would be ideal for the club, I’d happily accept a leader with much less money but a sense of passion and dynamism. Carter doesn’t have the funds Koukash has but fights tooth & nail for his club. I can’t remember any owners, chairman or CEO ever fighting as hard for us. At ...

Re: Stadium
Two million wouldn’t have scratched the surface six months ago. Now, when inflation has run riot over prices, we’ll struggle to sort the situation with toilets. We need the club to come out & be honest with the fans. Saying that, as soon as they admit the scale of the problem, we’ll be viewed as...

Re: Stadium
We can’t pin our survival on the demise of another club no matter how much we may want the clubs to get what they deserve! Personally, I don’t buy the premise that mid-builds will be at risk. As long as they have tied up contracts, prices will be set & will have been paid for. They may have had ...

They haven’t been submitted. Feel free to browse the planning portal. All information on there is readily available to the public within 3 days of submission. We’ve been lead on a merry dance & my big fear is that a majority of our fans refuse to see it or are so apathetic (due to years of broke...

My big fear is that axiom were planning to finance the build using money sourced from various pension funds. It’s just come out in the press that the damage Liz Truss did to the gild markets cost the economy £500 billion. This is going to have a huge impact on the level of investment available using...

Re: Stadium
We can’t carry on making excuses. There’s no way to spin it: we’ve let ourselves down with a lack of progress on this front. With the ever growing debt to the Fulton family, we stand little chance of doing it without an enabling development & with the biggest recession in decades about to hit, I...
