Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
New application submitted end of September for a Certificate of Lawfulness. Two foundation trenches have been created and filled with concrete, with holding bolts put in. The Certificate is to prove the lawful commencement of development of planning permission. Hopefully the starting of foundations...

Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
As sirocco says this is just to prevent the planning permission from expiring. PP normally lasts for 3 years from being granted and that would run out for the proposed development in January.
If work was really starting do you not think they'd be shouting from the rooftops?

Re: Toronto Away June
Thanks for the tips. Yes was told about the ground by the guy I booked the digs through, as I have mentioned a 10 min train ride and then 10 min walk. I wonder if Cas will be selling tickets like a normal away game?. Never been to Catalan so not sure how that worked with match day tickets. There's ...

Re: Toronto Away June
I have booked flights direct and accommodation through Airbnb, 7 nights for £700.00 - 2 of us going. Granted I need to get too and from Manchester Airport, but I know some others going on the same flight, so will be looking at a mini bus. Train from Toronto Airport is only £7 and ground is a 10 min...

Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
Given they were confirmed, I’m guessing that contracts were signed. Therefore, I’m guessing that massive financial penalties will be implemented if they pull out. While they have signed contracts I'd be very surprised if they haven't insisted on some sort of get out clause being included. Something...

Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
Phases 1 and 2a (Highways and site wide infrastructure) approved today :D That's all planning permissions ticked off now and Reserved Matters for all phases approved. So just the Retailers now (unless any other changes required based on retailer demands) to tick off and that's hopefully enough to g...

Re: General Feeling - Stadium Poll
Can anyone remember the year we were first told that a new ground was going to be built? Just a question not a comment. For what it’s worth I don’t see anything to say a new ground will be built for sure, this is why I am in the “I will believ e it when I see it” team just now. Never really got too...

Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
It would seem that talk of a 'Stadium Trust' owning the new ground has disappeared with talk of perhaps the Fultons owning it. I would have thought if that were to be the case there would a (rather large) tax implication?

Re: Future of the forum
Let's be honest, 90%+ of the stuff posted on here is opinion, hearsay, rumour or info freely available in the public domain. Posters who put on stuff that people want to hear (particularly concerning the new ground) are hailed as heroes whilst those posting more realistically are shouted down and la...

Re: AGM for 2017
It's not difficult to check but there are 8 outstanding charges on the Club: 3 to the Fultons and 5 to the bank (Barclays). "If the new ground valued at 10m plus is ever built 96% of it is owned by them." Doubt it. The 'new' ground would be owned by the Stadium Trust not the Club (Fultons)...

Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
I’ve read this forum for many years and I just get frustrated with the lack of common sense from some posters on here. Lateral have got as much to lose as us now, if it all falls to pieces they’ve lost millions, it’s in there best interest to make the project happen. There is nothing as at all to s...

Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
Following the failed bid by Peel for INTU today I think this sums the situation up. If the Trafford cntr can’t be sold can anyone see this getting built. It’s not good for shopping centres. Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
Not the "it's winter so building work can't begin" excuse again? Have a look at when work on the new York ground was started. Removal of the 'Timeline' from the website is a pretty big indicator that it ain't starting anytime soon.

Re: AGM for 2017
As a shareholder you (and perhaps other shareholders who are of the same mind) should be raising this with the board/Club. As others have pointed out there's absolutely zero point posting about it on here!Robbo wrote:I have not said either way just feel an AGM is due
