Re: Realistic Targets
Would agree with you , but when was the last time we saw Mellor , Griffin, Sutcliffe or Lawler in back row. Mellor and Sutcliffe have been playing in centre , with Lawler and Griffin used as props for the majority of games (Lawler hooker for other matches) And we wonder why we aren't winning games?...

Re: Realistic Targets
I would still rather wait and sign quality rather than quantity though , even if it means having to wait a while . I'd agree, although I don't understand the logic of letting players go in the meantime. I also think we could do with another centre ASAP (if Broadbent is going to be used as a half as...

Really hope this is true, we're desperate for a backrower. I wonder if he'd be a good make shift centre too

Re: Fonua
Tbf i think Fonua is our back up centre but due to injuries has played every game, as back up centres go iv seen worse. Yeah, he's played every game this season. Would I want him to? No, but when we're struggling with injuries it helps to have some of the same men in the same positions every week. ...

Re: players off contract = the signing season
Danny Richardson given a 2 year deal then. Out of curiosity, do we know our definite comings and goings for the next season? I know it's early yet but am curious about how we look for 2023

Re: Widdop
Wouldn't mind this signing at all tbh especially if it's a year deal to get us some immediate improvement in the halves then either he proves his worth and stays or we have that extra year to scour the market for younger talent. Obviously if we offer him a long term deal or silly money then it's bad...

Re: Alex Mellor
Very steady player and nothing more. Didn't look anything special at Huddersfield and certainly hasn't at Leeds. I hope this isn't a signing because we've not been able to keep Edwards. Surely he'd be a replacement for Blair if anyone, but I feel that we've already too many options in the back row ...

Re: Jack Broadbent
Decent signing, this imo hes only a squad player at present but with plenty of potential (ideally in squad terms a replacement for Claire). Mamo, Fonua (or new player), Turner and Broadbent should provide decent centre options next year. Juries still out on Fonua but has looked much better of late....

Re: Zak Hardaker
I know it's Wigan and the salary cap does not count for them. I also am not an expert, well on anything but even terminating his contract he would still be entitled to his money and would this not therefore create any salary cap space.? Entitled to what money? I'd assume it works the same as any no...

I was going off this, "initial one month trial". Is that not accurate?

Re: Hampshire
Not the worst player to sign in our current state and on a month loan it's a case of hit the ground running or you're not here for long. Not really much to lose

Re: [Match Discussion] Huddersfield (Away)
How anyone can say Mamo isn't a centre when he was absolutely class for Warrington in that position last year is baffling. Evalds, Eden, Turner, Mamo, Faraimo, O'Brien, Trueman in our backs. The talent is clearly there it's the discipline that costs us This same talent that have conceded 26 34 26 2...

Re: 2017 v 2022
I don't think many can deny that our team on paper is stronger this year than last. I don't know if it's the change of leadership, new players not fitting together, general poor performances or what, but we're not winning games and that's what counts. Personally think Edwards and Westerman are looki...
