Re: Great Britain Tour

Don't care what anyone says about Hodgson being a great player for Canberra - he is totally abysmal in an international set-up, I've never seen him have a good game, same comment also applies to Widdop, and on the last four showings looks like same for Hastings as well.

Re: fixtures

The club has clearly made a decision to move to Friday nights. Nice to be consulted. Oh we were and the vast majority wanted Sundays. No they haven't but want to have a set amount of days between fixtures helps the body. Otherwise its sometimes 10 days between and others 4. We might as well change ...

Re: George Griffin

I have Massey in my 17...but I would move him back to prop. With the issues with Moors and Millington as well as Clarkson and Maher leaving we may need him there. Jesse Holmes McMeekan Milner Griffin Foster Smith Hepi Can cover back row 3 spots.... Watts Cook Massey Smith Millington Moors Hepi From...

Re: George Griffin

Its Milner that may be surplus if the team if fully fit. Personally I'd put griffen in the left second row position hes played at Salford and have Holmes in the 13 role we play. He defends really strongly when players are coming straight at him and can do big minutes and is not afraid to take the b...

Re: Cas tigers Ladies

Two grounds spring to mind immediately that could have held this game and would have been far more convenient for both clubs - Dewsbury or Doncaster. Bearing in mind that there will probably be less than 5000 in attendance either would have looked less empty on TV than the TW Stadium.

Re: Cas tigers Ladies

Here's a thought for the RFL, why not have a double header at OT? Now the issue there is that ‘thought and RFL’ don’t go together. They don’t think. The same reason our grounds man won't let others play before the first team, to keep the pitch intact. I can't imagine the RFL will want to showcase t...

Re: Greg minikin

Ok as a winger.

Nowhere near good enough as a centre, which is where he wants to play.

If he's not prepared to accept playing as a winger, let him go.

From the Love Rugby League website: Castleford left frustrated Castleford women’s team have been left frustrated after discovering they won’t receive medals following their League Leaders’ Shield triumph. Medals were noticeably absent at the recent presentation of the shield, unlike the men’s, and i...

Re: Joe Westerman

Is there such a thing as a talented loose these days. They all seem to be the third second rower at best. Quite agree there is no such thing, simply referred to as one of the middle unit, ie another prop. Bit of a waste for me, always loved to see a good ball handling loose forward. I was desperate...

Re: Joe Westerman

Joe, was in my opinion, ruined by Terry Matterson. Throughout his school and junior rugby he had always played as a old style loose forward - where he was constantly voted as the best player of his age group. When he broke into the Cas first team, TM played him as a right side second rower, he never...

7 of our ladies have been selected for the PNG tour in October, the England set up covers flights and accommodation but they need to fund the rest of the trip themselves whilst taking 19 days off work. A number of the ladies have reached out for support on social media, setting up go fund me pages ...

Can’t believe Dennis Hartley wasn’t one of the first names released - unless I’ve missed it. Dennis was certainly the missing link that we needed to provide the grunt up the middle and protect our two “H” bombs.

What an absolutely pathetic and pointless attempt at a post!!! Millo has been, for me anyway, the best import we have ever had.

Re: Season Tickets 2020

Have I ever been disappointed with our recruitment for the new season? Christ yes, porn tash nash for us while Wire got his team mate Chris Hill. Do I like the facilities at Cas? No they are pretty naff and going to grounds like Salfords makes you realise that. Do I like evening matches? No much pr...
