Re: Squad for Hull

Just as a matter of interest. Although I think it's highly unlikely, I wonder what would happen if Salford happened to beat Saints tomorrow night. That would mean that Hull would then have already qualified for the top 4 prior to our game, no matter what happens. Do you think that 3 or 4 of their pl...

Re: Squad for Hull

What would you rather have, a full strength team and a win v Hull but with say 3 players getting injured and missing the semi or rest a few, get a loss but with everyone fighting fit for Thursday? Darryl has done exactly right, and had no option after we played a near on ridiculous 2 hour slog on Su...

Re: hull friday

Ben thaler the middle man. Get ready for a 10.30pm finish then. Packed lunch and a flask needed. :D Seriously it's to be hoped the club have put a complaint / objection in regarding the timekeeping and ridiculous stopping of the clock. There is no way we can afford another near 2 hour slog 6 days b...

Re: TODAYS WIN

On a darker note, I wonder if the club can do something about a very small minority of our own support. Yesterday there were the usual ''d**k heads continually chanting ''Sean Wane's a **** and ''Your f****** s***e' at the Wigan players, which they are doing at every team we are rolling over now. Wh...

Re: hull friday

To be honest I hope Darryl rests as many as he can get away with in a way. But that's from an entirely selfish point of view, as I won't be able to bear to watch, every time a player goes down injured, or rises to his feet gingerly, just six games before the semi. It will save on the old nerves.

Re: Timekeeper / Fergie time?

the commentators mentioned that thaler was stopping the clock well before wigan had got six players to the spot. That's exactly what I thought and saw lurcher. The game finished at 5.05pm and I found out today that the exact starting time was 3.07 pm. Therefore just 2 minutes short of two hours. Sk...

Timekeeper / Fergie time?

First time to DW stadium for me today and noticed there was no clock stating how many minutes were left, just a normal clock. First half ended at 15.56 pm and seemed to take an eternity particularly when Wigan were attacking at the end of it. However someone told me it kicked off late. Therefore che...

Re: average attendance

So you arent or dont go due to circumstances and nothing to do with "Saving" yourself. I appreciate people cant go for various reasons but this is not explaining people "Saving themselves" is it? If people choose to not go because it isnt a big game and would rather go when it i...

Re: average attendance

What does "Saving themselves for the semi final" mean? What is anyone "Saving"? With a semi final ticket guaranteed for buying a Hull ticket eould you think that eould boost the crowd a bit? You obviously don't know certain factions of people from Castleford LT. I have lost coun...

Re: Squad for Wigan

two players I would like to see left out , is Jake I would hate to have him missing for the semi final, JSL as run his blood to water I don't think he as missed a match a rest would do him the world of good I would definitely go along with JSL. For me he needs his batteries recharging, as he has de...

Re: Squad for Wigan

Why no Hitchcox? He's not played for 3 weeks or so. Has he been left out or has he sustained an injury in training or something? He's been excellent for us when he's had to stand in before. Anyone know what's wrong with him?

Re: Continued success?

One of the reasons I was never confident for much of the past for gaining sustained success, was that we were always run by, to coin a phrase, ''the local butcher, baker and candlestick maker'' . Local small traders etc, decent folk definitely, but basically were in it just to wear the blazer and fo...

Continued success?

I have supported the club right back to the early 60's. Was looking at an old Cas and Ponty in the library the other day, which was shortly after our second successive Wembley win in 1970. Headlines were ''Castleford make £7,300 profit - the future is very rosy.'' 7,300 (approx) was a colossal sum i...

Re: average attendance

The attendances thus far for the regular season average 7,925. Include the Super Eights it rises to 8,177. Then factor in the disappointing 5,216 who came along to watch us humiliate Saints it drops to 7,992 A full house for the last game give a season average of 8,199 Very good for a small town in...

Re: That Luke Gale got taken to hospital last night...

Just heard another one from the same person.... worse than this. I don't wanna write it in case it's true. Dr, this post immediately followed my own post, referring to Tony Clubb. It looks therefore like you are insinuating that it is much worse than Tony Clubb's which cannot possibly be true. Is t...

Re: Luke Gale

I'm no medical expert but once he's got a few days off under his belt would a cryogenic chamber speed up his rehabilitation? There may be some truth in that ERG. I am no expert on recovery times for this type of surgery, but I do know you can speed it up with the right steps. I know a few people wh...

Re: That Luke Gale got taken to hospital last night...

Depends on how quick an healer he is, there's still a chance he can make the Grand Final or even the semi. Look at Tony Clubb, he had a kidney out, and was back way way before he was supposed to be.
