Re: Danny Richardson

Sorry but I just don’t get why people get hyped up about Gelling.

I for one am glad we didn’t go for him. Warrington are welcome.

Re: Oli Holmes

Good.

I only asked the question whether anyone else had heard that rumour. I like Oggy and don’t want him to leave.

If the rumour is false I’m happy with that.

Oli Holmes

Seen a few references on here about Oggy Holmes being in tears at the end of the game on Thursday. I am not convinced that this is true but I was told by a Wakefield fan about a week or so ago that the word was that Oggy was going to them for next year. Could this be why he was so emotional? I know ...

Players Jolly/Mad Monday

Can someone explain to me how we can be knocked out of the play-offs last night and the players be on a flight this morning to enjoy mad Monday? Flights aren’t that available to get that many blokes on the same flight without being pre-booked. I have no issue with the guys enjoying themselves but if...

Re: Milners try

No. An additional penalty is awarded when a foul is committed in the act of scoring. The obstruction occurred before Milner had touched the ball down so had he not grounded the ball correctly he would probably still been given a penalty try but not the additional penalty to make it an 8 point try.

Re: Gale

I’m not yet convinced that this is true but I was told on Wednesday that 100% Luke Gale has gone to Leeds next year. it was a hot topic in one of the pubs in Normanton and the information had come from Luke Gale’s father-in-law. My own response was that I had heard this too many times before and I w...

Re: Run of shane

I really think that one or two folk on here need to grow up and find another way to prove how macho they are ( or think they are ).

Re: On to London

I’ve been told that it was the London players who wanted it to be on Saturday night (no idea why that would be) so London asked and Cas agreed.

Don’t know if that’s true but the person that said it said that he’d got that directly from Oggy Holmes.

Re: Edan...

All this rumour about Eden seems a little odd to me. I’ve now heard for at least three separate weeks over the last 2 months about a case coming to court. Nothing happened and I’m pretty sure that if it had/did it would quickly be reported in the local press. Anyone seen anything ? I know I haven’t...

Re: best win worse lose

As others have said very hard to pick one, but some of my highlights would be: 1994 Regal Trophy Final (best team performance I have ever seen from a Castleford side) 1969 v Leeds 3rd round CC (beat the big team of the time and felt we were of to Wembley for the first time in 34 years) 1969 Semi Fin...

Re: Best halfs for cas

There is a wicki page on Steve Robinson. Seems he bounced about a bit between UK and Australia. Played for Penrith before Cas and St George imediately after. Also had stints at Halifax (think I remember that), Hull KR, Oldham and then went back to Oz again playing for Eastern Suberbs before coming b...

Re: Best halfs for cas

No contest, Hardisty and Hepworth. We’ve had some good ones since who have been great to watch but none to compare to Chuck & Heppy for me, they were the perfect combination.

Re: Blair

Seemed to me that yesterday we were playing more of a rugby union format with inside and outside centres. The inside centre ( Mata’utia) being first receiver. To enable this Holmes had to push across more to the convention rugby league centre position. That’s how it looked to me anyway but who cares...

Re: Reserves

Is that the case for those stepping up to senior level? Just thinking the likes of Turner, Gill, for example, may not be on that much given they got senior contracts. Same with likes of Storey, Carr potentially. Those with first team contracts will be on more but you will need others stepping up fr...
