Re: JSL

You need both. Those who play wide like Meeks, Ferres, Olly etc have different roles to Massey etc. Watts is both, worth weight in gold.

Re: Joe Summers

I can’t agree that Warrington have taken him to a whole new level. He stood still for three years, actually many said he went backwards. As he has become more experienced and learned a bit more, he is the player we knew he was. If he was still at Cas, I think he would be even better behind Watts etc...

Re: JSL

JSL is a nice enough guy and well liked, however, on the field of play, I have never ever rated him. For his size, he has not ever punched his weight and I cannot decide if he is a carthorse or a crab for all the half hearted runs he has made and always sideways and never direct. There has been som...

Yes he reminded me of another player we once had can't for the life of me remember who it was who during off season had completely changed body shape ...
Ryan Hudson?
I think it was Bob Lindner I was thinking of mate
Biggest body change I saw was Jamie Bloem.

Re: Fixture releases

Goodness me surely anybody can abide by the rules wether there 16 or 30 All the trouble cricket went to to re-start and one of the players can't abide by the rules it's astonishing to me but there you go Exactly !!! I’ve often thought that if everyone abided by the rules across the board we wouldn’...

Re: Best overseas player

Having watched all of them since 1960, you can make a case for many. Nikau one of the best, Milo and Vowles the most committed, but Rangi could do things nobody else could, he could win a game himself. One I would liked to have seen much more of was Richard Fa’aoso.

Re: Rugby league to suspend season.

My concern is the wait for a vaccine of some kind; I understand the "flattening the curve" idea, however if you're going to put a nation into lockdown, then they're going to have to stay there until there's a vaccine and you can begin to inoculate people against the disease. Otherwise, we're just d...

Re: Injuries

it was mentioned at the "meet the directors" and jon wells spoke very eloquently about the subject. i wish i could repeat it word for word as the man is absolutely superb and he makes you realise how complicated it is and how you will have to take some risks and have to accept soft tissue injuries ...

Re: Saints up next

Didnt Roby Trip up Mcshane when he put the little kick in which Trueman scored from. I thought he would see a ban for that as he seemd to dive a long way to trip him up Ron 'Chopper' Harris style. He did. Not sure why it’s not been looked at. It was a desperate lunge and took macca down. Maybe if t...

Re: Nathan Massey

Refs are in constant communication with players, which players appreciate. It helps the flow of the game and helps prevent player’s frustration. When a player ignores the ref and makes a tackle or interferes, as being within 10m from a kick, he gets penalised, his choice. Only Nathan decides whether...

I laughed, but I’m 70 and faced with months of daytime tele with groceries delivered to my door. In time I might appreciate a piece of mouldy cheese, and I don’t even like cheese.

Re: Momentum Rule Explained

So we’re agreed that balls that are caught well in front of where they were passed from arent forwards passes? 😀😀 Case in point tonight, a long pass to Williams, open to opinion but similar to the one on the video earlier in this thread. Called forward but passer’s hands pointing backwards as ball ...

Re: Saints up next

Was it simply a excuse by the whinos to not play the Catalans while the Catalans are doing well and the whinos have simply not played anyone of significance up to now apart from a shocking performance by Warrington?? 🤔 Obviously, they had a meeting behind closed doors to think of a plan to avoid th...
