Re: Worst setup in my time
If you honestly think this is the worst set up in your time then this must be your first season watching Cas. We've had far far worse (including just last season).

Re: move on to Salford
We’re two competitive games into a new era with a young team that’s learning to play. Salford might be one of the weaker teams but we’ve been written off by everybody including quite a few of our own supporters. We’ve effectively got a new halfback pairing and, fair enough it wasn’t a patch on Sney...

Re: Stadium.
This was always the original plan if I remember the interview Mark Grattan did on the COYFcast correctly. The £2M Council money would be used to make upgrades in the short term to increase the IMG gradings but they were waiting until the planning permission had passed so it could be used to its best...

Re: Axiom planning application
so the champaign is still on ice??????????? Affraid so. No axiom approval equals no ground. Technically not. No planning permission = funding for the new ground not released by Axiom. Planning permission has been granted for us to develop the ground (no caveat that this has to be done using Axiom m...

Wonder if it's the same lads that started fighting with our stewards in the railway end last season? Just not needed in a family sport

Re: Hudderstield up next
Lingard said a lot after the game: https://www.totalrl.com/castleford-tigers-boss-craig-lingard-reacts-to-win-over-huddersfield-giants-what-he-said-at-half-time-standouts-and-confirmed-pack-for-wigan-opener/ Can anyone post what he said on here? It's hidden behind a pay wall. There's also some comm...

Re: Hudderstield up next
Positives for me: Good defence. Kept them scoreless first half when they had a bit of pressure, scored twice from loose balls and a Swift worldie on the corner. Best game Miller has had in a Cas shirt (I know that's not comparing to much) 80 mins in the legs for Richardson and some good kicking from...

Re: Ticket prices
Why are people looking at this as a price increase on the gate and not a discount for buying early? Loads of places do that from theme parks and visitor attractions to sporting and music events. It's to encourage people to buy tickets early so the venue know beforehand a guaranteed number of people ...

9) Chase vs Leeds at Donny in the CC semi final. Sublime solo skill. 10) St John Ellis was on the end of some blinders. At home vs Wigan when Xas kept the ball alive from our own half, with Nikau taking it forward, an amazing Blackmore offload to Kemp and to Ellis in the corner makes the list (St J...

Re: expected finishing position 2024
I think the issue with Sweet Caroline is that it's been hijacked by the England football team so now whenever anyone sings it they're the first thing that people think about (maybe second thing among rugby folk)

Re: Next Years Squad
The new coaching set up obviously see the potential in him. They've been around him all pre-season so far and will have seen his attitude and commitment to the coming season. As has been said before, we are trying to build a culture of young, enthusiastic players who want to do a job for CTRLFC not ...

Re: Optimistic Or Dreading It
I'm looking forward to next season if only for the reason that we've got some young, enthusiastic players who will at least hopefully have a dig and put some effort in. Of course I'll be disappointed at any lost games but won't be upset if we've given it a go. Too many times last year we just gave up.

Re: PNG
This is the PNG Hunters club side not the PNG national team. Yes, there may be that draw to represent a PNG club side in the NRL but they will still get the chance to represent PNG in test matches and world cups if selected. It doesn't say that the side will only be made up of PNG players. This is b...

Re: Mcshane
I can't remember if it was in Lingard's or Maguire's interview yesterday, but one of them talked about McShane, Watts and Westerman being the experienced members of the squad they'll be working with next season. Both of them mentioned it in their interviews. For what it’s worth, also, I thought Lin...

Is there supposed to be an announcement today, who the coaches are gonna be. Thought it would have been done by now. Hope both haven’t backed out. They've just announced the coaching staff who are leaving. Announcement says to check back at 6 for details on next year's coaching staff https://castle...

Re: Next Years Squad
https://castlefordtigers.com/article.php?id=8783 Three years??? Will we ever learn??? Seems strange when the others have only got 2 years. Maybe that’s what it took to get the deal done? But still no coach? We shouldn’t be held over a barrel. The club should say 2 years or bye bye. And yes, where’s...
