Re: Charbel Tasipale

Edwards as 2 more years and Vete as 1, can anyone see Cas paying them off? Got to be paying one of them off when two are coming in It may come down to whether Fev get promoted or not . It would mean that they could end up moving there instead as they could stay living where they are now , and I wou...

Re: Nixon Putt

He's a decent player from what I've seen. Plays edge back row, he's not very big at all but plays bigger than his size. I don't know if he's a SL quality starter but he'd certainly be ok as a squad player.

Re: Club in decline

The problem with the 10 metre rule is that it is not enforced . It's farcical at times . Just watch any game on tv when a team is inside their opponents 10 metre line . At this point , every defending player should have both feet behind the try line Nope, the problem with the 10m rule is that too m...

Got to feel for the lad, he won't get to play at full back with Jack Walker fit again so he'll be playing his home games as a winger on a pitch that's 52m wide.

Re: Next boss

What's the obsession with Ryan Carr? He's only spent one year in the UK and it was Championship level... More to the point, he left Featherstone to return to Australia because he wanted to put his young family first, and made this decision at a time when Fev were still very much in contention for p...

Re: Fev On Saturday

Just seen that Cain Robb was cited for an incident with Hardcastle and received a caution by RFL disciplinary (nothing for Hardcastle). I didn't go to match and cannot comment if any justification It was handbags really, Robb had a couple of extra goes at Hardcastle whilst he was on the floor after...

Honestly think that even at the age of 36 and allowing for the much weaker opposition he played better than quite a few that featured regularly for SL clubs in 2022, it helped that he had a relatively injury-free season.

Re: Jesse Sene-Lefao

Jesse didn't have much luck with injuries at Fev but only had one or two good games really and several poor ones. Interesting how things work out sometimes with older players, Jesse was 32 last season but looked well past his best whereas Junior Moors who is 36 had a tremendous year and swept the bo...

I’m hearing he’s signed for Fev with immediate effect. Don’t know whether it’s permanent or a loan to cover an injury to Gareth Gale. Have you heard owt Anglo? I hadn't heard that but Matt Shaw has tweeted this morning that Fev are after him (as a loan deal) and he's rarely wrong. Gaz Gale has brok...

It's the same cap in the Championship as in SL. You seriously think Fev are close to spending £2 million?

Re: Championship spending

As a groundsman myself, I do wonder what toll is taken on the pitch, especially as there are many junior and amateur finals played there as well. He does a fantastic job to say the least. The opening home game against Leigh was played on a bit of a bog after heavy rain all day (which Leigh fans hav...

Re: Championship spending

Thank you. Everything I've heard is that the sustainability isn't really about crowd numbers but more related to sponsorship and the income streams associated with the ground. I think the club are just keen to exploit every possible source of income to the maximum which is why they are still searchi...

Re: Championship spending

1,700 season tickets sold (and they weren't cheap), £250k corporate sponsorship, widespread use of clubhouse for external corporate events as well as themed evenings, successful Squad Builder scheme, rent of pitch to Wakefield AFC, plus lots of other income streams associated with owning the ground.

Nah then, Whilst my username doesn't denote who I support, it is a reflection of where I live. I'm not sure there were misconceptions about the pitch as it was definitely in a poor condition but in particular, my points about the number of games played on it. Those are a clear choice of the club an...

Re: Featherstone

A couple of misconceptions in this thread! (yes I'm a Fev fan). Fev's funding doesn't really come from crowds, though the club has a record 1,750 season tickets despite adult season tickets being priced at £240. It's the sponsorship, in particular, plus other off-field activities at the ground which...

Wakey were pretty dreadful, physically they look like a Championship team and they played like one too.
