Re: Kane Evans

I'm obviously going against consensus here, I hope we dont sign Evan's. He looks lazy after the odd ball carry. Mainly 3rd man in tackles and always slow to get back on side. Maybe a fitness thing when resumed but I'm not as impressed with him as most seem to be. He off loads for no reason and no g...

Re: Your favourite match 17

Bruce Burton was a sight to behold in his pomp. Exceptional finisher and lethal when backing up.

Some interesting discussions amongst supporters at the time on whether he was more more effective when playing outside Clive Pickerill as opposed to Gary Stephens.

Your favourite match 17

Throughout my 45 years watching our club I've been fortunate to see both some brilliant players and also some great characters who could lift the crowd. In that time my favourite players have not necessarily been technically the best in their position over the 4 decades but have got me jumping up & ...

Good. He looked top drawer at centre early doors in the season.

Re: Cardboard fans

The OP topic title indicated to me that this was a thread about Whinos fans so, therefore, shouldn't it be in Anything RL/Fans of other clubs...? :-)

Re: Greg Inglis

Let the other clubs sign the “big name” Aussie/NZ players, I say. As a general rule, they are either completely bonkers and walk out on the club, too old, don’t settle, or come with the attitude that they are just prolonging their career. Not always, but how many “superstars” have we seen come over...

Re: Greg Inglis

A peculiar bit of business. I'm not sure these type of "high profile" transfers actually do the credibility of the game much good. I can't think of any that have turned out to be worth anywhere near the hype - unless it's been a few short sharp games (John's, Morley etc). The SKY & BBC fawning over ...

Re: Evalds

Back on to Evalds, how do we see him compare to Zak? Well Evalds was significantly better in 2018, and also better in 2019. Hardaker was the best full-back in 2017, but Evalds has been the best in 2018 and 2019. He was also looking better this year too. More importantly, Evalds seems to be a highly...
