Re: Loop Fixtures 2020

If i remember rightly its Odds play evens amd vice versa based on league position.

So 1 v 2,4,6,8,10,12 and so on.

Which means for us finishing 5th we'd be playing Wigan, Warrington, Hull, Leeds, Hudds and Toronto(replacing London).

Can't we play the Toronto 'away' fixture?
Thankfully not. I'm looking forward to the Canada trip next year.

Re: Toronto

There must be a Castleford in Aus I Googled the other day Sydney to Cas and Sydney Toronto and the mileage was only 600 miles different! Edit - never mind, I read what you'd googled wrong... but Toronto to Cas is 5,536 km (3440 miles) whereas Sydney to Cas is 16,922 km(10,515 miles). In general her...

Re: Players Jolly/Mad Monday

Seems to me there's 3 basic responses to this: 1. People who are ok with the players going on holiday having finished their season. Seems reasonable to me. 2. People who are bothered that the club let them go so quickly, without any postgame/post season medical assessments or game debriefs - again q...

Re: Dane Chisholm

I can already hear the howls of rage if we signed a championship player to replace England international Luke Gale... Which would be fair i think... What I like about the prospect of Richardson and Trueman is that is a long-term halfback pairing. Both young, coached by Orr and Powell, get the right ...

Re: Flares at matches

Just a question. With it being a smoke “bomb” could the individual he held under anti terror law? That might make people stop what they are doing No. Those smoke devices are legal to own, and even use on your own property or where you have permission from the landowner of private property - However...

Re: Thats it then

unfortunately some " speccies" seem to question the coaches ability, rather than the players commitment. I take umbrage at this. I was at that game last night, and could not fault the players commitment one bit - everyone drove the ball in with purpose, and the defence was mostly solid with a few s...

What happens if 🤞 cas are in the final?

They still play the pdrl game beforehand.

None of the PDRL team are current first team players so its not an issue.

Re: Warrington Away - Play offs - Thursday Night

Of all the remaining teams, Warrington are the ones I'd want to be playing on current form. That said, away on a Thursday night with playoff survival on the line? I think this will be Cas' last game this season. That said, if we do win who do we reckon we're getting in the next round? I think Wigan ...

odds for remaining five to win grand final
st helens 1.83
wigan 3.00
warrington 6.50
Salford 15.00
Castleford 29.00
think its worth a small punt on are tigers 29/1 very generous odds
Mines going on Wigan tbh. At 3s, on form, gelling at the right time... very worth it.

Re: Would you....

Finishing 3rd is preferable to finishing 5th. Finish 3rd and lose away to Wigan? Get a home game against whoever wins out of 4th v 5th. Finish 5th? Play away to 4th, then have to play loser of 2nd v 3rd away. I'd rather guarantee either at least one home playoff game OR only 2 games to the grand fi...

Standard Wigan tactics. Look out for Flower with some dirty late hits on him off kicks. No penalties given of course.
