Re: Toronto at Headingley

In reality, without emotion, I would strongly expect a close first half but I would expect us to be 2 score winners. Yeah, it is early season, yeah they have a couple of good players - the neutral nature of the game is a disruptor, but anything less than a 2 score win should be considered disappoint...

Re: Totonto and the Salary Cap

Arguably, as a sponsor and a game, the lack of logo and the furore is more publicity as opposed to less for the omitted logo. Good business all round, brand SBW is lauded, where the sponsor would usually get no column inches, it is a story. TWP get more coverage. I'd be delighted as media manager of...

Re: mose masoe

The nature of sport at the very highest level, careers and life changing injuries are only a few millimetres or coincidences or mistakes away. Obviously thoughts with him and his family, may he rehab well and enjoy life after playing rugby, a great shame for a family man, hope he can still be the hu...

Challenge is, cash in and make it worth-while.

The same old stories in the League Express won't make a dent, have to have a plan to take it national.

Re: On to Widnes

Fair enough mate i thought there starting 13 yesterday would hold there own this season but i dont know about there strength in depth One of there supporters told me he thought the attitude of some of there players stunk last season and that would be changed for next season Admitted Cas team wasnt ...

Re: Widdop

I have no special insight and sound like an after timer now, but I did think after the shoulder injuries and the history that it was an interesting signing to throw marquee money at. I hope he gets right and plays as a person, but equally he's at Wire so if he runs the water all year is fine by me. ...

Re: Mike McMeekan

A little like football, when you allow players to get in to their last shift, it invites this. As a couple have said this message in a translation tool is: "I am here now, but for money I would go anywhere, including stay" Which then invites when you want to lock them down as a club, they're still a...

Re: Scandal

I know nothing, I am a friend of neither and merely giving an opinion. Experience suggests in drink related issues that one party will think the former scenario Show n' Go outlined and the other the latter. Therein is the challenge, what is the truth, usually it is somewhere in-between. Hope that it...

Genuinely shocking, 37 doesn't feel right. Sadly some diseases are no respecters of age, health or status.
Terrible news for the man and family, genuine thoughts and affection with them and good luck to them.

To be fair, SBW has swapped there and back a few times, he might need a gentle shift to get him going.

Re: Boxing Day - Team

I would suggest, if fit a number of the new players will drop in, won't have done much in terms of ball work I wouldn't assume before the first run out, chances to see Hepi, Griffin, Olpherts in the flesh and Storey as suggested and Feki etc. Not going to learn anything we don't know about this year...

Re: Aiden Sezer

Mart, I have been looking at this myself, in my own very dull private time, I kind of keep a weird moneyball type of register. In APAC, I can only assume that cap pressure means you have a primary and a pivot, one you retain, one you consider functional and replaceable. Remains to be seen how Sezer ...

Barrie Mac managed okay!
Arguably better than OK!

Would definitely have been known, equally an eye test would not be part of a medical in usual sports in my experience.

I am not sure about 10th, I think it is all going to be about the start of the season how they go permanently travelling. Appreciate they're Manchester based in reality, but the "on the road" thing, if it goes well and they get points on the board early, I think they will do OK. I would back them fo...

Re: Great Britain Tour

Mentioned on another thread, but BBC site has a good piece by Dave Woods. My feeling from that piece was let GB go now, it isn't relevant anymore, whether you believe that or not, it wasn't relevant enough for Australia to want to get involved, the team was a mess and my own opinion is - even if thi...
