Re: Game off.

Season is difficult, I am not one for generalising, but people I see out and about and in shops and the like it is genuinely for many like Covid is over.
Never posted on politics and wont start now, but not sure we have this quite right and can't decide if it is policy, or people!

Re: The Future of Our Game

Sorry about what is written below. Just realised you weren’t talking about the Hundred but the T20 International!! I don’t believe there was anything like 22,000 crowd in there. The capacity in the Oval is 25k Most of the shots I saw had a majority of empty seats. I’d be surprised if there were 10 ...

Re: Rugby World Cup 2021

Interesting stance, my inlaws have dial nationality with Aus and have been trying to get back for over a year.
They have received permission, so they are balancing risk.

As for RLWC, without Aus and NZ, it isn't a world cup really, I hope they find a way forward.

Re: Danny Richardson

I think it is arguably win/win, he isn't playing and when he does, we are not playing well, it is fresh and gets him on the pitch. Option at the end of the season, but equally option for LR to play the "Powelly didn't fancy you, but I think he was wrong card" as well. Right now, in our sid...

Re: The Future of Our Game

The concept of the future is one I have posted on many times, this is an interesting thread, with some really interesting and well made points. This is a massive rant sorry all! If "the game" and I say that sarcastically, because there are at least four main noses in the trough, the grass ...

Re: Cup Lost, get over it. 6 League matches to go, now no excuses - let’s win GF

I think this season peters itself out if we are not careful. Several players running down the clock to leaving for numerous reasons, coaches all in the same boat. Legitimate likelihood of GF, you would have to say slim. I would like to be wrong, but I think if we are not careful the wheels could be ...

Re: Try or no try.....That is the Question?

After the emotional posts of Saturday and Sunday, there is a lot more calm reflection in this thread, thanks to all for some good points. When I watched it back with a hangover again on Sunday morning, I was a lot less emotional and have to confess that the three calls detailed in this thread, if th...

Re: Today is gunna be the day......

On tele for me, couldn't justify the risk to those closest to me. Not nervous, as someone said above, I am not bothered about winning or losing as much as playing well and being in the game. I can be more proud of performances than wins, need to put the last two choked finals to bed. How early is to...

Re: Sweet Caroline

I am not a particular fan of Sweet Caroline, less so as it has become more widespread.

Easy to dislike what is than put something else forward I know, but feels cliche now. I guess you can please some of the people, all of the time...... and so on!

Re: Hardacre

If that player was on the market and motivated to sign, there are only probably a couple of clubs who wouldn't take the option, regardless of what we think, he produces on the field to a significant extent more often than not. I'd suggest Warrington in their current guise and Saints would be out. He...

Re: Poor Show

It is a strange situation, if I was being polite, I would suggest if people are spread thin, do fewer things very very well than doing a lot of things pretty poorly. I don't know what resources are available and don't want to cast aspersions, but generally speaking no-one leading a business has ever...
