Re: Stadium

Will all stands have seating? IMO seating will spoil the atmosphere that we now get from having standing terraces on 3 and a half sides. My understanding is that the current terracing/seating configuration will remain. Correct. Main stand - demolished and a new seated main stand in place. WR end - ...

Re: Stadium

From the pictures in the link the railway end is definitely getting covered. Pitchside view 1 and pitchside view 2 both show the intended new main stand and the railway end (the one with corporate boxes and a roof).

Re: York knights Friendly.

No it’s not on our league and BBC York who usually cover Knights games aren’t doing it either.

Re: York knights Friendly.

There’s not much there - a pear tree a 5/10 minute walk away, there’s a bar in the Hollywood bowl attached to the stadium. If you’re willing to walk 15mins into Huntington there’s a working men’s club and also a half decent pub called Hogs Head, that one is my pre match boozer. Then again York centr...

Re: York knights Friendly.

https://yorkcityknights.com/club/matchday-guide-knights-vs-castleford-tigers/ Txs for that Askham Tiger. The only thing I would add to that if anybody requires to know is that Hospitality Tickets are £45 each which includes a 2 course meal, a padded seat (which i'm assuming is reserved), tea/coffee...

Re: York knights Friendly.

Like most new stadiums there’s no paying turnstiles, entry is by ticket only. So your best bet is to get to the ground early and head to the ticket office to get a ticket.

Re: CC Final Tickets

Also from footie pictures cannot see them enforcing groups of six and anyone who went to leigh will know we were allowed to stand anywhere we wanted in our stand, we were not forced into those bubbles I think you could be in for a shock. This isn’t a few college kids in hi viz jackets earning £50 a...

Re: CC Final Tickets

Were the tickets already sold £55 regardless of where you sit then? I presume they must have been? Before the semi there were 3 ticket prices available: £20, £30 and £40 plus £1 booking fee. As an Our League member we’d built up £10 credit to use against tickets purely for voting on man of the matc...

Re: CC Final Tickets

But then they have promoted it as a final at Wembley and for many players it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Imagine how fecked off our players would be if they moved the game to Headingley. Still a final but many of them have worked hard to be at Wembley. Exactly, that was my point earli...

Re: Danny Richardson

I feel sorry for Richardson. Our forwards are kids or playing garbage. There's no size, no punch, no domination in the middle of the park. Our attack is flat as a fart at times. We badly need some size back and some people who can take the ball up alongside Watts. He is a player that operates on sp...

Re: CC Final Tickets

Where is the Rugby League community spirit?! We’ve just had a load of RL fans from around the UK from all leagues rally round the club signing the petition to get our academy licence reinstated, I personally know of a bunch of York fans who signed it. Now we are saying thanks but your game isn’t im...

Re: Danny Richardson

I don’t really get why people say he was in good form when he came to Cas. He wasn’t, he was frozen out at St Helen’s, he had gone out on loan to Leigh in the Championship where he was anonymous. I was so surprised when people seemed to think we were getting a great deal letting go of Gale and getti...

Re: CC Final Tickets

As for the RFL, there seems to be a bit of confusion. They don’t set the capacity rules, the government do. It’s not that difficult to understand: the capacity as set by the government is 22500, the Euros are what’s known as test events. If those test events with bigger crowds go successfully, the g...

Re: Grand final winners

I'm not trolling, but this time last year quite a lot of us wanted to see the team who finished top crowned champions outright, and do away with playoffs and the Grand Final. I said at the time it's ok thinking that way when we finish top, but it's a bit different when we don't. Hand on heart, would...

Re: Steve Gill - New Keighley GM

snip Not meaning to be patronising Spanishtiger, my grief is with the 'come and help us' plea from Keighley where they said they are averaging 600 a match. I just think it's important, when you're trying to get people to invest, that the facts are correct. It's a bit like Martyn Sadler last week pr...
