Re: away at Batley
Good to see Westerman in the squad. He was limping at the end of the Catalans game when he came over to applaud the travelling fans.
Maybe have him on the bench for this one because he certainly deserves a bit of a rest.

Re: Hull fc sign 2 on loan.
From what I’ve seen we’ll really struggle with London’s kicking game. Like us they don’t seem to create much with ball in hand but their grabber kicking is far superior to ours a their up n unders are well placed and contested near the line.

Strange one. They send Abdull out on loan to Catalans and sign another (lesser) half back on a 2 year deal!!!

Wonder why London didn’t take him back?
Or did the possibility of playing SL 2025 tempt him?

Re: New Signing
We now have 3 new props plus Vete and It’s going to be interesting to see how they are used (when fit) Namo may be the surprise package but is returning from ACL injury Kibula, is he ready for SL? Hindmarsh Takyi, largely unknown quantity. Vete, can he get back to SL level? We certainly need to find...

Re: Season opener & SKY coverage
To my mind the second red card was way too harsh.
A yellow for each would have been a more proportionate outcome.
RL will soon resemble touch and pass

From footage I’ve seen he looks a big unit, but I can’t find his height and weight detail anywhere.
We could use a big lad because in the pre-season games, apart from Watts and Westy, our pack looks a bit small side.

9) Chase vs Leeds at Donny in the CC semi final. Sublime solo skill. 10) St John Ellis was on the end of some blinders. At home vs Wigan when Xas kept the ball alive from our own half, with Nikau taking it forward, an amazing Blackmore offload to Kemp and to Ellis in the corner makes the list (St J...

Re: expected finishing position 2024
We need to get behind the lads from the get-go and make Wheldon Road a fortress.
It can be intimidating to come to the Jungle when there’s a good crowd and the place is rocking.
Let’s hope we are singing “Sweet Caroline” at the top of our voices plenty of times in 2024!

Re: games of yesteryear
It’s teams (especially Saints) that are credited with excellent “line speed” that start moving forward as the player bends down but before the ball is put down at the play of the ball, thus reducing the 10 metres. Hopefully the refs will enforce the play of the ball rule change that players have to ...
