Re: test side

The balance of the squad was all wrong to start with, he picked some on their reputations in the past, not their current form. He selects a hooker to start who stifles any halfbacks he plays with, and today drops the replacement hooker who improves the side as soon as he enters the field. Then to top ...

Re: Dennis Hartley

Dennis was an absolute gentleman, not old enough to see him play but have heard and read plenty about his exploits in the field. I doubt the club (and Hunslet before us) would have been as successful without him. Legend is a word that gets used far too easily nowadays....But he earned that title. R....

Re: Great Britain Tour

Anybody else watching this tripe served up by our lot? The players and especially the coach have killed a once proud badge. There is a wonderful piece on the bbc website about the 1948 Lions tour and what they went trough to get to Australia....and now watching this performance this morning is soul ...

Always thought the Boxing Day fixture was a waste of time once we moved into the summer era.

Re: Club Vacancy

A professional club should not be wanting anyone to work for free The reason the job qualifications aside has not been given to the family and friends of Coca Cola mafia is it’s unpaid and they only milk the cash cow that is Castleford rlfc allegedly If what you say is true its worrying. Wakefield ...

Re: Tonga

I think that sadly Bennett’s blueprint for our international team is to turn it into an NRL carbon copy which is five drives and a kick and incredibly boring, particularly when the referee does nothing to stop both teams slowing down the play the ball. Australia v Tonga on the other hand was rugby ...

It is sad, and worryingly the club appear to have an increasing "take it or leave it" attitude to fans old and new alike.
Would i be wide off the mark if i suspect a lot of this attitude is down to a couple of people who used to work in the soft drinks industry?

Re: Sam Burgess....

Sam was known for his thunderous Shoulder charges when they were legal. Wonder if his robust style has caused early wear & tear (plus the infection) forcing a sad early retirement. Sounds like he is having problems on a domestic level too, split up from the wife and court case pending with the fathe...

Re: 2020 Kit

My only hang up is the Club Castleford logo....it didnt need the wording underneath the logo. Nothing major but just would of enhanced the branding for me. There’s a Club Castleford logo? I thought we had secured sponsorship from Comedy Central. Its similar to the Comedy Central logo. Lets hope the...

Re: Great Britain Tour

Today's result is no surprise to me. For starters Tonga have a few players who would make the Australian side (Tupou,Taukeiaho & Taumalolo) and the likes of Fonua-Blake & Fifita off the bench are better than Chris Hill & a once great but aging James Graham. Then you have the strange squad selections...

Re: 2020 Kit

The club does sell merchandise with the towns coat of arms on,and retro replicas in Black & Amber. If there was proof that the club would be run better and the players played better reverting back to the old colours & name then yes, i'd be all for it! As for Wakefield....well to older supporters "Tr...

Re: Richardson confirmed

Of all the new signings for 2020, this one has to work out well.

Otherwise we will have to endure P.M or Ellis at half back at some point next season.

I wish D.R well.
