Re: move on to Salford
Milnes was hoping to be back in full contact training this week, and Namo is also not far off. Think Milnes will make bench all being well. Hooley, Qareqare, Broadbent, Wood, Senior, Richardson, Miller, Lawler, Horne, Putt, El Zakhem, Tasipale, Westy Subs: Hall, Mustapha, Vete/Martin, Milnes Vete/Ma...

Re: Axiom planning application
It was great to see everyone today and for the plans to be approved.
Credit to the club for making sure to that they spoke to everyone and shook hands too.
It was quite nerve-racking and difficult to hear at times but we got there.
Still early days but that’s another step ticked off.

Re: Axiom planning application
ROAR are going to get a shock when the speakers are allowed only 3 minutes, not 5, of time. Could find their 2 mins of nimbyism and tosh cut short. Personally, I find their objections hilarious. Fancy complaining about noise when you already live by a busy motorway, an entertainment complex, and exi...

Keep it competitive that will be a good thing. Result means nothing, effort and attitude does.
Got to set some early benchmarks.

Re: players off contract = the signing season
Would also add we may some in contract players on the move too.
Matagi seems to have dropped out of favour and given McLelland is yet to materialise, we may send him out on loan next year for 12 months too to get some meaningful game time.

Re: players off contract = the signing season
Would try and keep Trueman if we can but if he wants out so be it. Replace him with a decent left sided half from the NRL. Can’t understand the logic in people wanting to sign an average journeyman in Miller, who also takes up a quota spot. We have had enough wastage from those spots over the years....

Re: [Match Discussion] Hull KR Next
After 2 years out, I’d say there is minimal chance of Feki getting a run out until he gets up to match speed. Lad hasn’t had an intensive run out at SL match pace for yonks. Needs a good 6/7 games in the Reserves or even on dual reg somewhere. A lot will depend on out returnees. Blair and Matagi see...

Re: [Match Discussion] Catalan away
Didn’t expect to win. Didn’t win. Disappointing but not surprised. But I bet we don’t get the same tiny violin Leeds are getting with their injuries and suspensions. Bet there won’t be 9/10 out for ‘depleted’ Cas in our news articles. People seem to forget that we are still missing Evalds, Turner, E...

Re: [Match Discussion] Leeds Easter Monday
Anyone have any thoughts on the two disallowed tries?
Both marginal calls and dicey ones too.

Re: [Match Discussion] Leeds Easter Monday
I’m not particularly fussed about performance today. It was always going to be a bit of a slog and the result is all that counts, particularly with so many backing up. We made a lot of basic errors and that almost cost us and made it a tighter game than it should, but Leeds had one tactic/kick that ...

Re: 100 Club
Eagar?
Not sure if some of our more recent try scoring wingers like Solomona and Carney are included.
I’m sure there may be some pre-SL players in there too. Sure some of the older generation on here will know of those who were regular try scorers in the 80s and 90s.

Re: Stadium
I imagine it will be done staggered with the main stand stand coming down in the off season so as not to cause issues for fans. Get that ready for the new season, and then we can maximise hospitality and money for our home games. The logical order in my mind is then Railway End covered, moving fans...

Re: [Match Discussion] Leeds Easter Monday
Would have Hepi over Matagi. Fresh legs and I wouldn’t risk the latter with short turnaround, particularly when we are likely to need a mobile bench that can help do longer mins. Evalds, Olpherts, Mamo, Fonua, Qareqare, Trueman, O’Brien, Smith, McShane, Massey, Milner, Edwards, Westerman Watts, Blai...

Re: [Match Discussion] Leeds Easter Monday
Leeds and Hull have named theirs this morning. Leeds with a few missing. Guessing they have to be names today by some point. Don’t be misled by the Leeds squad. They aren’t missing as many as people think, just a few backs. Only Myler, Sezer, Walker, Fusitua and Newman. Others missing are kids (Tin...
