Re: Giants on Thursday
I know we have injuries but man we are way off. We have been in the wrestle but every team seems to have a clear edge in terms of strength and speed and control. We have no brains at all. I just don't enjoy watching us at all anymore. Almost pure frustration from start to finish.

We have enough bang average in our squad already without the names being bandied around on here

Re: Powell
Basically, regardless of how tough the hands we have been dealt, we are still well shortt of a side to win silverware in my view. Lack the spark or pace or explosion or inventiveness.
Watts is our xfactor and it's not enough.

Re: Squad for Thursday
Totally lacking killer instinct and x factor in either pace or ball skills. A bit of grit did show in that performance. Put in a shift enough to give us a sniff but had no clinical edge. Some of the last tackle plays were appalling and they swung momentum until eventually [REMOVED] poor defensive li...

Re: JSL
That statement "have you ever played" is the dumbest statement ever. No matter what sport you play or participate in if you know the game you know it. Bielsa, current Leeds manager, knew from a young age he wouldn't make it as a player and is lorded as one of the best coaches around, just...

Re: JSL
Ball playing loose forwards like O'Loughlin are dying out in the English game. Abdull is the closest I've seen to one for a long time. I would take him over Massey and Milner tomorrow. He's clever and skillfull like a back, but can easily be used as a forward up the middle if needed. I think Massey...

Re: Joe Summers
Totally disagree about how Wire have taken him to another level. He won MOS at Cas. He was unbelievable in 2014. Look at the tries he scored. He is a different player now. Still top drawer obviously. I heard about Dazzler coming through and they said he was a world beater. This is one of the very fe...

Re: Joe Summers
But it still turned out we didn't make the wrong decision not to fight to keep him. He wasn't some world beater as was suggested. If the club broke promises then that is poor. But I don't imagine Cas are the only club in sports to have disgruntled young players with negative stories about how they ...

Re: Warrington and Hull
So Both Wire and Cas spend the full salary cap? Interesting how they fit in all those players... Ratchford, Charnley, Lineham, Mamo, Widdop, Austin, Daz Clark, Murdoch Masilla, Hill, Akuala, Latu, Philbin, Currie, Gelling, Hughes, King and even their youngsters like Ashton and Patton I imagine are o...

Re: Warrington and Hull
Hopefully both have missing players but I still worry about our forwards. If Watts is out i give us very little chance. Masilla is back for Wire. We still have no Cook, Smith, Blair, JSL. Too lightweight against either of those sides tonight. Hope I am wrong. Has Watts broken ribs or not? No idea. ...

Brierley was not seen as good enough by Matterson. Brierley has had several SL clubs since. He has not really made it has he?

Can't think of one we have let go that has been regrettable and who have had successful careers.heritage1926 wrote: ↑04 Sep 2020, 18:37 You can't keep them all I suppose, however, we seem to let good kids and ones with promise go far too quick without them even having chance to prove themselves.

No way you can play on with broken ribs. I only damaged one rib not even a break and movement was agony for over a week. aye every breath is pain. Getting in and out of the car was appalling. I couldn't even drive properly. Getting dressed was hardworking let alone putting in 40 odd minute stint in...
