Re: Olpherts

He certainly doesn't mind taking the ball in early on in sets and getting some good yards.! Been pretty impressed so far. Will be interesting to see what kind of pace he has too when the track dries up.

Re: Tonight's game

It is bonkers that SL allow sides to play at the same time as games are on tv, we as a sport need a good deal for the future and this just drives viewing figures down. Will it really make that much of a difference? Isn't the average viewing figures about 100k. Guess attendance will be about 7k toni...

Re: Tonight's game

There will be more there tonight that there will be on Sunday....especially when people saw the weather forecast!!. Personally, I don't mind Friday night games, as gives you the rest of the weekend (I know this doesn't apply to everyone who work late). I think there is only us and Wakefield (maybe ...

either tigersbarmy just makes stuff up or his 'contact' is having a right laugh with him feeding him rubbish.

Or maybe there is some miraculous hamstring recovery cream that Milner and Smith are using...

Re: Junior moors.

There'd be no point in doing that. It would still count on the cap and you've basically just said to pay him more than his current contract? The only way a pay off would be remotely useful is by mutual termination where the club and player agreed a lesser amount. It wouldn’t count on the cap, becau...

when i say take a pay off i mean a lump sum to match what he would earn taking a monthly salary until the end of the season. maybe with a thankyou bonus too.

We would end up taking a bigger hit on the cap doing that, be better to just let him sit on the sidelines

Re: Scandal

Nobody in SL would pay 100k for Holmes.. He would do well to find a club in SL even if he was released. Hed easily find another super league club if released I wouldn't think so. At least with other players that have had a falling out like Watts, Hardaker, Segeyaro, Hastings, Barba, and so on. Team...

Holmes and cash for Evalds please. Perfect.

I hear BTw that the academy lad and his dad are a right pair of bananas....Just saying.

Is this a wind up lol. You mention £100k for him. Would be lucky to get £1.50. we paid just under £100k for watts!

Re: 2020 Squad

Seriously how much would it cost for a decent physio that can advise on training routines and how far to push players. £50/£60k? Compare that to spending £1.6ish million on player wages it seems ridiculous that this is happening. Ok I appreciate accidents and unforseen things happen. But something s...

Re: 2020 Squad

Full back is the least problems we have to be honest. We really did struggle with the forwards last year. Agree, we seem light in the front row (bar Watts). Millington and Moores didn't have the greatest of seasons last year and seem to be coming to the end of their careers sadly. We do seem very h...

Thursday 3 games averaged 7457

Friday 7 games averaged 7443

Sunday 3 games averaged 7192

Saturday 1 game - 5497
interesting that the much maligned Thursday fixtures show the highest attendance if stats are accurate
True. But usually the Thursday night game will be the 'bigger' games

Re: Attendance trends

Well with the amount of Thursday games last year (Surely having an impact on season ticket sales). Poor on the field product. Loosing our 'star' player, very little in way of exciting signings. Lack of promotion. (Okay not much is happening now, but it's early bird season ticket time. I live in Pont...

Re: Paul Mcshane

If you had posted that this time last year, or the year before I would have been devastated. But now, meh didn't really step up this season and made some very bad decisions/ kicks at times. Feel like we need a rebuild anyway. If we can get a new 7/9 to freshen things up a bit with Rankin having a fu...

Re: 2020 Squad

The player and his agent turn around and say far enough, I've got a better offer from so and so and therefore I'm off. That's another one gone that needs replacing and possibly enticing away from another Club. I think you've hit the nail on the head of why we are perceived as a soft touch in terms ...

Re: Josh Dugan

Think people are missing the bigger point here. Why would he drop down from £400k a year to £200k to come and play for Cas....... Only a big money club is going to be able to afford him
