Re: Next Home Game Its Leeds Leeds Leeds
Lets not start blaming the coach again, time the finger was pointed at the guy at the top who is holding the purse strings, Wayne Bennett couldn't get a tune out of this bunch.

Re: Next Home Game Its Leeds Leeds Leeds
I can't believe the powers that be managed to pull together a worse squad than last year. After staying up the club should have tried to put together a stronger side rather than extracting the urine out of its loyal fan base. The club aren't using money from what should have gone into the playing bu...

Re: Next Home Game Its Leeds Leeds Leeds
No chance, again at Batley still making the same mistakes we have all season, our discipline will need to improve drastically to even keep us in the game.

Re: Salary Cap
Time to scrap it, with all the marquee and other exemptions it is pointless. With strong club owners wanting to invest in the game why not let them bring in top players and make our competition stronger and more attractive to TV companies.

Re: Marquee signings
The reality is that four years is the earliest we are likely to be competitive if signing for next year is difficult due to uncertainty as to our status, which it will be. I would have thought squad building for all sides that maybe in SL that are not A graded would be very difficult as they will o...

Re: away in France
Even if Gratton doesn't mess our IMG application up again and we manage to secure a SL place for next season, is there any real point when we don't have the finances to support a SL organization. With the SKY money down to 1.3m where is the rest going to come from to even make us competitive?

Re: 14 Team Super League
its been talked about for a long time. the big clubs as always will not want to cut the cake any thinner Which remains as the the biggest inhibiting factor for the sport in the UK. The fact that a handful of Chairman can hold the game to ransom is why it’s still stuck in the 1970’s in so many aspec...

Re: Friday its Huddersfield
we had a thin squad before the season started, then we have had a heap of injuries Watts suspended, no wonder we are breaking no pots take this number of players out of most teams they would find it hard going Was the amount of injuries we had for the game really the big factor, looking at the team ...

Re: Friday its Huddersfield
Looks like we will have to learn a lot more lessons in training next week. Same issues every game and as I expected the effort is beginning to drop.
This side just isn't up to SL standards.

Re: Sneyd
Sneyd is a player who always seems to make things happen, even back in his Cas season, we scored tries from even his poor Kicks.
Sort have half we could do with now to direct us around the park.

Problem is we have a Championship quality squad playing in SL. Showing plenty of effort but that will only last so long before their heads drop and the big hammerings follow.LeeThorpe88 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2024, 22:56 Lots of work to do to get this bunch looking like a somewhat decent super league side

RIP Darryl, brought exciting times to Cas and a real professionalism, I had never known times like them as we became a real go ahead side making top class signings with the help of Poulter.

Re: move on to Salford
Far to many simple basic errors that can be fixed up, but the side lacks that touch of class. Sneyd again was superb and the difference between the sides.
Plenty of effort again but not sure where the wins are going to come from, at this point I'd be surprised if we got more wins than last season.

The game needs ex players as referees. Blokes who have a feel for the game. Not some Nelly what read a rule book and thinks they know how to interpret and apply those rules Not the refs fault they are just applying the new protocols, it is these that need looking at again, sending players off for a...

Re: Cards
What we don't want in the game is the review panel going over every little incident every week. If experienced officials have said it is a yellow or penalty sufficient that should be the end of it. Leave Cullen and his merry men to determine the punishment for red card offences only and keep the pun...
