A Gloomy Effort

Playing on a pitch covered in a sea of mist and severley lacking the distinct qualities that helped destroy Leeds last week; Cas deserved to lose tonight. It wasn't even a great display from Hull KR, merely a poor poor effort from ourselves. KR did nothing spectacular and looked like an ordinary side who took their chances when they could.
Coming off the back of a terrfic effort last week it was simply a case of either continuing in that dazzling form or suffering from a victory 'hangover' - unfortunately, it was the latter. Cas never looked like showing the same clinical ability as was the case last week, and showed an unproffesional attitude that has often surrounded the club following on from a big scalp.

Amazing is the only word that begins to explain a terrific, superb and dominant victory against our local rivals who never anticipated a shock loss at the hands of a clinical, proud and thoroughly desrving Cas side. Not Close Enough
Tigers: 16 - Harlequins 22
If last weeks demoralising defeat lacked passion and pride, then this week's hard fought match had it in abundance. However, whilst the frustration of a hammering may be hard to take, a last minute loss is possibly much worse; particularly considering that Cas should have had the game wrapped up with just seconds left on the clock.
Whilst the effort was definately there, the luck is yet to come. For any team to dominate a game for the majority of the second period and still suffer in the manner that we did today, is mainly down to minor errors and a bounce of the ball that is yet to swing in our favour. Of course today's performance was far better than the previous outings' and the promise held by the squad back for all to see, but to collapse in that fashion is worrying to say the least.
