Is it just me, or is Rankin not up to it. I don't see him contributing much at all. Just wondered what everybody thinks.

Too early to completely write him off but last night made me worry. He is obviously not a first choice stand off for a top 4 side. Defensively had me concerned.
I was fairly happy with the signing and think he is a decent squad cover but maybe we might need to try and get the Gale dispensation used if possible.

Defence was very worrying, constantly going high and being knocked off. Major red flag for me. Teams will target him now.

It is what it is were a top half back short and a top centre short you can cover over that in which Powell is a expert or you can bring those kinds of players in when you can

It’s tough on any half who operates on our right side attack to be fair. They get hardly any ball in positions where they could do any damage. We load up on our left & it’s obvious. That’s one of the reasons we struggle in big games.

Might be able to judge him if we give him the ball. If we attacked right at all it would help our left side be more dangerous. Cant complain too much though being 2 from 2

I think he will go really well, be nice to have a good running half who also has good hands. Remember he was brought in at the last minute and has played 2 SL games with us.

Showed some good understanding to quickly get over to the left and link up for shennys 2nd

I just watched the game back and specifically watched Rankin. Did much more good stuff than getting credit for on here!

He is doing fine you loons, I'm sure he won't be the last half back to struggle against Hulls left edge this year. All 100kg plus.
