Theo Fages?

Well that is a new one on me...anyone heard anything about this?
The fearsome hollow boom of the older boys in the deep end, The green shoots of recovery shriveled up in harsh tomorrows, Left to pick dry sticks and mumble to myself, A melancholy emblem of parish cruelty.

Wheels in motion on this one. Ball's in Saint Helens court now.

He’s out of contract at the end of the season, from May he can be approached, prior he cannot...wouldn’t be negotiating with St Helens as he is coming off contract so how are the wheels in motion?

Maybe to bring Theo in now, his game time at Saints will be limited and they maybe would be prepared to let him move on for the right money.

With no Gale available I would definitely look at Fages now. Sure Saints would take a little cash now instead of nothing at end of season.

Fages along with Trueman in the halves and McShane at 9 would be solid. Especially if Rankin gets gametime at centre as his link in play will be great.

If 'the wheels are in motion now' don't you think it would be for this season. If 'the balls in Saint Helens court' wouldn't that be Cas contacted Saint Helens about his availability now.

If we have any spare money on the cap, I’d, definately move for Theo now. I dare say Aston will be gone at the end of the year, maybe, Ellis too? We know Roberts is ooc and will more than likely leave. With gales injuries and age, against him, it seems logical to move for a half back to partner trueman ASAP that will be a long term replacement and not just a quick fix.

i don't think fages is our type of player as he hasn't got the passing skills for a half back. decent kicking game but the ball tends do die when it gets to him. decent support player tough but no genuine pace.

I agree with this - can't say as that I have ever been fully convinced by Fages as a top class half-back.

If he is going to play this season like he did against the Pies tonight I am happy to pay for his train fare now!
