.... To everyone who is connected in any way to Castleford RLFC - wherever you are in the planet.
Despite some cracking back to back seasons, it's felt like a very negative off season based on numerous threads on this forum. I think we all need to remember where we were 6 years ago and be grateful that we have DP in place and that we wants to win something - probably more than any of us.
Here's hoping that we are in the mix again as the season unfolds. I will be content with another top 4 finish and a strong cup run. Silverware would be a bonus despite us being overdue some.
Take care - see you in the other side...!
Happy New Year...

Re: Happy New Year...
I echo your sentiment Suffolk.
Sport is now a business and all businesses is cash led.
So for a club like Cas to be genuine contenders at the top table speaks volumes.
The last several seasons have been bitter sweet promised much and delivered .
L.L.S . may have been devalued in many quarters but we won it and in style..
In what for me was our finest ever season.
Boy did l love it.
If you look at the successes of the modern era .
Bradford need l say more .
Rhinos !
Wigan with mounting debt and no home of their own.
Strolling down to our creaky old ground today was just what l needed after the long off season.
The young guns can only play what is in front of them .
They did us ,themselves and the name of Castleford proud.
The futures bright, the futures Black and Amber..
So Happy New Year fellow Cas fans ( even those who only sow doom and gloom)
Here's to the boys on the field and all on the terraces and to those who for what ever reason can't get down the Lane.
I wish you all a healthy and Happy 2019.
Night night.
