i would love CAS to finish in the top four, but the way Huddersfield finished and with their recruitment I can see them pushing a top four, Wakefield have signed a couple, Warrington St Helens and Wigan will be also pushing for the top few places

Saints and Cas have the squad depth needed for a long season, for me both should be challenging on all 3 fronts.

Warrington have a very well assembled 13, class in all areas, but don't have the depth.

Wigan, unless they sign a few from now till the season, haven't replaced the quality lost. They could be in a transition period.

Wakefield and Huddersfield have definitely strengthened, both definite solid top 8 teams.

Leeds have arguably recruited the best and have Watkins to come back after a long lay off. But you look at that team and there's still some very ordinary players like Sutcliffe, Goulding, Handley, JJB etc.

Hull FC are genuinely in trouble next year, any injuries like last season and they will be left behind. They were lucky that they got the points needed to just cling on to top 8 earlier in the season, had they finished bottom 4, with that injury list, they could very well be playing Championship rugby next season.

Hull KR have bought in some solid players but not top 8 quality.

Salford have some top players in key positions, but what they have around them are average.

London will be the whipping boys, simple as. They will probably beat a couple of the big boys throughout the season, but I can see there bottom 4 place being confirmed by June.

I really believe it's wide open, take London and Salford out and there isn't much between the rest. Home form is going to be critical to any team with play off aspirations.

Catalan, is another team that as gone under the radar I overlooked them on my first assessment but when they got their act together towards the back end of the season they pulled off some great wins,

Think I'll just write next season off and go back to following Cas because I want to, not in the hope of reward.

For me the top 3 will be Saints,Warrington & Wigan, the bottom 3 will be Hull Kr, Salford & London.

The rest could finish in any order.

Can’t make my mind up about Wigan.
Lost some integral players in Tomkins and Bateman.
Not to mention Shaun wane.
Not really signed anybody.
I’m thinking this could be a rebuild year for them, there biggest loss undoubtedly is wane.
I’d be surprised if they finish top 4.

Me too can't fancy Wigan at all...even if cas sign nobody I would still have them in top three because Powell will do what he does best get last ounce out of his troops

That's something he has to address ...for finding players improving players getting the max out of players he's up there with the best in the world id have Craig bellamy as the best but Powell would be up there no doubt in my mind about that

He finds cheap players and makes them into great players but if it doesn't happen on the big stage the history books will not remember him at Cas fact.

What a load of rubbish
Since he was the coach when Cas finished top of the league, he is already in history, and in 20 years will be remembered and recognised as a great of the club

Oh yes like all the other clubs didnt say it means nothing to win the hub cap. Do you not read the news. I suggest you get a grip on the reality of rugby league SILVERWARE before you start spouting your nonsense.
