Based on the false dawns and the lack of movement on this I would be somewhere in between maybe and no confidence just now. This has been ongoing now for well over a decade and we are still at WR in a falling apart ground.

Does anyone know or remember when it was first decided or mentioned that we were looking to move?

It isn't well over a decade, stop getting this project and the Waystone one mixed up.

Well, I've read enough info lately to change my mind from 'no confidence' to 'maybe'

I was asking when it was that we were fed the lines that we were moving. Doesn’t matter which project it is.

90% no but what do I know!
I wonder if the BOD know what’s going on?
Did Steve gill?
Did he want to tell it as it is?

Nobody has fully explained his sudden departure.

I want it. We all do.
Just not confident especially as I think they are stalling not WMDC .

Robbo why don't you just say what you know or think ?
Did Steve gill want to tell what like it is ?
Your asking questions that imply there's summat shady gone - going on why not just say so everybody knows what you mean

Guys,

Doesn't it seem obvious why there is a delay to all of this when all high street shops and many closures are going on up and down the country as to why there is this delay and put that on top of businesses holding back due to Brexit !!

Same applies here don't you think ! Surely it's not rocket science !

Look I don’t know.
Steve was doing a great job by all accounts and he left.
Why? I don’t know

I do know that WMDC pin the blame on developers shifting blame to them. That’s not fair.
Why do you assume I know?
I am in retail which is tough. Just like running a RL club is.
Look at our falling gates!
Because I comment does not mean I know.
It’s called a forum for discussion.
Ok

I'm sure the club said Steve gill left because he had health problems and wanted to stand down
I'm sorry if I miss interpreted your first post but it seemed to me you was saying Steve gill was shown the door because he wanted to tell something as it is that I presume the club didn't want him too

It was a case of me or him that goes and thankfully it was the right decision on who went.

Cas will never tell you the reason why steve gill left but sign players while dp was in aus might be a big factor

That's fair enough and that's what I heard I just thought it was being suggested he was shown the door because he wanted to say there was little chance of the new ground being built which was a new one on me

my thoughts are Steve Gill was sacked because he sacked hardaker who we had paid 150k for & we all knew he would end up somewhere else for nowt which he did & it being wigan is a hard pill to swallow.

as for attendances once again half our fixtures are on evenings & ive said it time & time again our game is now a floodlit competition & thats why we no longer buy season tickets & i bet some of our weekend games next season will be moved to evening kick offs. yes we need to sky money to survive but sky tv is at the same time killing the game ie thursday night game grounds are practically empty.

back on topic i think the reason we have been able to sign higher profile players over the last couple of years is because of the promise of a new ground & better facilities & if we dont move out of the dump we are in that will soon stop. as for brexit its bound to have people not knowing where the economy will go, but if the axiom project rely's on the ebb & flow of the footsy / economy it will never happen as its up & down like a yo-yo?
