i would prefer a boxing day game I have always enjoyed a boxing day game and then to the club , there will be a mixture of a few of our established players the rest our fringe and under i9s I am hoping we try two centres from Roby Storey Egodo or Steve Gill we are going to need them during the season no better time to see how they go in friendly's

I suspect it will be no different to any other year with a mixture of fringe, youth and the odd first teamer. I'm sure all players will be working hard once they go back in for pre season.
Re: No Boxing Day Game

Re: No Boxing Day Game
I love going to boxing day games but it's a pretty pointless runout really. Other than giving the club done extra money. Which I have no issue with.

Our fixture V Feath Jan 30TH I believe Lock Lane V Toll Bar are playing the same day at Feath can anyone give me the KO time for this one because if there is a chance I would like to watch them both

I'd imagine Lock Lane will KO at 14:30.gateman wrote:Our fixture V Feath Jan 30TH I believe Lock Lane V Toll Bar are playing the same day at Feath can anyone give me the KO time for this one because if there is a chance I would like to watch them both
Re: No Boxing Day Game
I would like to think Lock Lane would try and bring the game forward to the Saturday there are a lot of supporters like myself who will have to choose which game to attend if they both play on the Sunday, I am not holding my breath as RFL at all levels have the uncanny knack of shooting themselves in the foot

Nothing to do with the RFL, it's up to the NCL if they move games around. Plus it's only a friendly, a few Lock Lane games were moved around for CC and SL games and disrupted the season, as they had to catch up games.gateman wrote:I would like to think Lock Lane would try and bring the game forward to the Saturday there are a lot of supporters like myself who will have to choose which game to attend if they both play on the Sunday, I am not holding my breath as RFL at all levels have the uncanny knack of shooting themselves in the foot

you are most likely right mate, I just thought how it will effect both gates in some way a cup game being played at Feath with one of our own local teams being in a final, if they had played on different days I would have gone to bothheritage1926 wrote:Nothing to do with the RFL, it's up to the NCL if they move games around. Re: No Boxing Day Game
True. I do feel for the NCL as it must be hard to re schedule games around amateur teams. I know one team in Lock Lanes division all went to a wedding last year so had to postpone a game. Which then means both teams have to find another weekend in an already long season to replay it.gateman wrote:you are most likely right mate, I just thought how it will effect both gates in some way a cup game being played at Feath with one of our own local teams being in a final, if they had played on different days I would have gone to bothheritage1926 wrote:Nothing to do with the RFL, it's up to the NCL if they move games around.
