Trueman needs a long term deal Mellor looked ok few times saw him at fullback for Widnes solid not spectacular though I think Mata’Utia looks best at full back

Ken Sio looking for a return to Super League. Really rated him when he was at HKR. Think he’d be perfect in our three quarters.

Sorry, but if we are happy taking players like Dawson, who saints rejected ages ago and as basically been a championship player, then we might as well have kept players like Crooks and Jy

Guess we have now entered silly season where we are linked to anyone and everyone. Roll on February

Great cover but wouldn't it be nice to sign a starter like a Ken Sio type.

Unless were going to make good signings there's no point may as well wait till we have enough cap space than sign players like Dawson

i thought mellor had already agreed to go to toronto. maybe changed his mind after the million pound game. i like mellor but worry that his knee has been heavily strapped for the last 2 seasons.

Mellor pointless signing given our needs, unless Ellis and Aston leave.
Dawson is a decent winger. Is he better than Clare though? Not much in it for me and again not a pressing need.
Centres and tackle breaking forward for me.

What baffles me is it looks like no one will be coming in for us and we’re up to the cap , but other teams seem capable of being able to add what they need

Other clubs are losing players:

Wigan: Bateman
Warrington: Roberts + 6 others they released the other day
Leeds: Delaney is going, Moon is going.

Barring Webbo we haven’t lost anyone. The clubs above may also loan players out or sell players to free up space. There’s movement in the market still, clubs will be talking to each other.

If we're up to the cap space with the squad we have some very genourous contracts have being handed out

Webbo will have been on reasonable money I imagine. I will be surprised if we don't see others leave too. Springer still being touted? Douglas going?
Surely enough to make one more signing.
I think we really need to shake things up over next couple of close seasons if we want to stay up at the top.

Defo is and some questions need to be asked. Surely we can afford Sio to play on the wing.

I'd gladly ship out Maher, Douglas & Aston to make way for him

Douglas has gone already and is with Doncaster for next year.

We go with a big squad so there will be a lot of the cap spent on having depth and not just on large contracts.

and that is the problem too many players taking up cap space who will hardly get a game ,we dont need to sign anymore journeymen if we have to to wait till next year to make changes so be it then we should have a core of strong players pushing for a place in the 17 and if we pick up a lot of injuries we use players in the u19s and give them a chance
