Callum McClelland
putting it on rumour thread as I don't know full details but cas have re signed the lad.
doubt if its immediate as wellsy said we had no cap left so assuming its for next season.
for me that would mean qlt deffo and benny maybe leaving.

Re: Callum McClelland
Surely coming in as a reserve grade half. Can imagine we might let Aston go (I kind of saw him as a replacement for McClelland when we signed him - a project In the halves)
I know McClelland was well thought of before he left and, by the sounds of it at time, Cas wanted to hang on to him.
Exciting for future with him and Trueman on the books. Two young highly rated halves. Competition between the two of them will drive standards. I’m all for the club investing in these roles.

Re: Callum McClelland
I seem to remember powell saying trueman and callum were the future of the club for the next 10 years. at the time callum left I think he was rated above jake but left because he thought his chances would be limited. maybe he has seen jakes rapid advancement and realised the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Re: Callum McClelland
I never saw him play but if we've signed a lad who was rated higher than Truman that will do for me

Re: Callum McClelland
Has he definitely signed?
I’d let Ellis go if anyone.
Roberts could be the perfect substitute for tiring packs and could end up playing a role similar to what Daryl did late in his career.

Re: Callum McClelland
At this rate Jamie Ellis will likely have to accept reserves or Cas offload him because of his wages and how far down the pecking order he would be
Turner
Clare
Egodo
Gill
Storrey
McClelland
Ellis
Maher
Butterworth
Douglas
Peachey
Wardle
O'Neil
That team would probably do well in the Championship!

Thank goodness Daryl explored options when Scott moore was under a 3 yr deal.jackknife wrote:Ya cant just let someone go whos in a contractMysterio wrote:Has he definitely signed?

Re: Callum McClelland
as a keen watcher of the under 19s Callum for me looked a better prospect than Trueman but whether he would have progressed as well as Trueman is hard to say, I believe his Granddad played a number of games for CAS on the wing
Re: Callum McClelland
Would be chuffed if we brought McClelland back.
Re: Callum McClelland
