As bad as you'll see...

Post by SuffolkTiger » 20 Jul 2018, 22:04

DP's words to describe our 2nd half display.

FWIW I will add bullied, intimidated and out enthused.

Men v boys in the backs. Not much different up front.

Training should be interesting next week....

One week wont be long enough to put all the things right by next week that is for sure. Defence woeful and our attacking shape abysmal, poor old Truey looked totally lost tonight, felt sorry for the lad.

Forwards didn't give Trueman him anything to play on the back of.

That penalty kick from Ellis was shocking as well. Could of been a game changer if it went into touch.

Happening too regularly

Watts and Trueman only players to hold their heads high
We have been lucky for a while this season but if you look at our results of late we have been spanked by Catalans, Hudds, HKR draw , a really scrappy win against Salford - in my eyes simply not good enough - pathetic really

We really have lost everything that was great to watch last year Hudss looked like us last year offloads, getting it out wide.

To top it all off Ferguson an overweight plodder made everyone of our superstar forwards look like wet tissue … simply no answer to a team with guts, heart, commitment, a desire to win.

Watch the silence yet again on twitter as our prema donnas go into hiding after another abject performance - and yes I am hacked off right now

Give the winger some credit for knocking it back in play, as for a game changer you have to be joking, I know that they scored off that set but they were 70 yards form our line so again the defence was shocking. The game changer would have been taking Shenton and Trueman off as the defence on that side was abysmal and that's being kind. 10 minutes of good rugby followed by 70 minutes of dross.

I would say it was Eden's defence not Shenny or Trueman.

As for the game changer we could of scored form that penatly

I thought hudds were quality tonight in every department.best down lane apart from saints.our execution was poor in final 3rd of pitch especially from Ellis who was horrendous tonight.our left side defence was diabolical never got enough numbers over and Holmes trueman Eden were a turnstile.out thought out played and out enthused.roll on gales return

Liam watts can hold his head up high tbh tho It was embarrising tonight not often in recent years ive come out thinking that also embarrising that it's getting on for 10 months since zak messed up and we've still not signed a top full back to replace him

Plenty were poor tonight. QLT just not what we need. He has filled a gap but way off what a too level side need at fb. Same said for Ellis. Forwards pretty much bossed but the real stark worry is the total lack of pace across the park. In defence and attack. Only Eden has any threat. We look so troubked by any pace even around the ruck or coming back inside/across the line. Any step and we appreared broken. With ball in hand we did not trouble them at all for pace.
Hope JSL not too bad although he was indifferent tonight too.
Cooky and Macca were the only bright spots. Watts had a few moments but went lateral loads and tried to offload. Shenny wasn't great. Eden disappointing.
Gteat chance blown. Hudds tbf looked sharp, aggressive and well drilled. They had plenty of set designs where their shape and numbers caused us all sorts of worry.

Seen on twitter, millington hamstring. Cook bicept. Jesse ankle.
No idea of the severity of them, all sound worrying.

You can’t reqlly gauge Huddersfield on what they were facing tonight. They had 26 players contributing to that win

I’m with you this is make or break for us in off season
We either sign 3-4 quality players who will improve the 17 and stay in Top 4 or we sign more Championship plodders and end up 7th-8th
Hudds and Catalan going be looking for top 4 next season and won’t be far off.

very disappointing tonight, after 10 minutes we were 12 points up but then for some reason decided to abandon our game plan. shudds 12 points down stuck to theirs and deservedly beat us. we were out enthused and lee Gaskell was head and shoulders above any of our backs. qlt was signed to play a similar game to zac/dorn but never chimed into the line until it was too late. worst game I've seen eden have for us and shenny was terrible. we seemed to go through ellis all the time despite him constantly failing when I would have tried to give trueman more control. macca and cook along with watts would be my best 3.

Why no Springer, surely we can't let him go with the injuries we have?
