Indeed & if it has come "from the top" i would have assumed that he was told in confidence which has been broken?I’m taking my information from the planning applications. Note how Robbo says it’s come from the very top but won’t name who. And I doubt anyone from the club or Lateral are going to pour doubt on it, as it could affect the actual development.

How does he tell us without breaking the confidence. Dont also believe because if it says so in planning that its true.yorky wrote:Indeed & if it has come "from the top" i would have assumed that he was told in confidence which has been broken?I’m taking my information from the planning applications. But why would anyone tell Robbo? No offence to him, but he has a vested interest for it to fail for his own business. Equally, there’s hardly been overwhelming mounds of positivity over the years.Dez wrote:How does he tell us without breaking the confidence. The club aren’t going to tell him as they probably don’t know the full extent themselves. And I doubt Lateral are going to turn round and say it’s doubtful when they are trying to sell the site .
We have to be realistic in that hurdles will come, and will have to be overcome. But the last announcement was that new retailers had signed up and finances had been resolved.
Lateral have just had their latest planning application passed for the car garage in which the council themselves say they have no reason to doubt the development will not go ahead as planned.

Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
I’m much more likely to believe a planning application as a true source of information given it’s written by the people trying to build the damned thing. Even if timescales are optimistic, they wouldn’t waste time submitting them otherwise.Dez wrote:How does he tell us without breaking the confidence. We now have planning for the whole site all retail and the car garage. We have 3 retailers signed up out of what 6/7 that have been announced, with more signed up according to SG in the article a month or two back?
If Lateral wanted to pull out they would have done so a long, long time ago.

He seem confident. They want to see returns. Sooner rather than later.

Given they have loaned cash to Lateral, it doesn’t surprise me that GMI want to see it builtTT Tiger wrote:I’ve been told it’s definitely happening (admittedly with no time scale) by gmi’s head of design Paul Tew

Re: New Ground for Cas or NOT !
I dont think because x amount of money as already being spent means it will be built , surely there will come a point when loses will be cut to save from losing a lot more money

The road junction works well be in the millions bracket. If the coal is extracted and the road done, the rest is relatively cheap as they'll own the land.tigerfeat wrote:I dont think because x amount of money as already being spent means it will be built , surely there will come a point when loses will be cut to save from losing a lot more money
With the sounds of it, if they are completed I would expect a build in late 2018 or early 2019. The ordering of the steels for the job will give us a better idea.

Have the roadworks started, they were due today .mart0042 wrote:The road junction works well be in the millions bracket.
