Re: new forward to be announced
I can see young Brandon Douglas playing a part in the forwards next season, he is very highly rated,

He's probably the 3rd best Burgess but still solid. Some good NRL experience and would be an upgrade from a tired Lynch for sure.old cas lass wrote:Just having a guess here.
How would we all feel if it was tom burgess.
Him or Wardle I think and will be happy with either.

Re: new forward to be announced
Steve gill says that when it's announced people will say 'wow, that's one hell of a signing'. I don't think that would apply to Joe Wardle which to me would be a 'good' signing.
Conundrums like these are what helps the days tick over.
Which English forward would be a hell of a signing ? Walmsley ? Burgess? Graham ? Liam Watts ?.

I'm confident Wardle is one so unless the club has another up their sleeve, I'm going with that.

Replace lynch with this wow signing. And a other and were good to go in 2018
Remember rhinos in the hayday only brought in 1 new face each year.

I'll put another name out there that might fit the description - Joe Westerman.

Re: new forward to be announced
Wardle, Westerman or Watts are nowhere close to wow factor.
Wardle & Westerman would be good signings, Watts would be a bit of a disappointment - far too many brain farts in his game.

I seam to remember us being in for Gareth Hock few years ago.
That would be a big wow for all the wrong reasons.

Re: new forward to be announced
I would take all 3 of them above burgess. He's alright but he seems to either go for one out rugby or have a brain explosion and do the wrong pass. He's the best of the twins if it's George we have signed we have better already.TheSheriff wrote:Wardle, Westerman or Watts are nowhere close to wow factor.

Re: new forward to be announced
Aren't opinions funny because I would take Burgess above all 3 of them. Burgess has been a stand out at International level, none of the above 3 have. Burgess got unsettled when there was talk about a move to the NFL. Get him darnt' lane with DP and he will soon be hitting top form again.tallguyx wrote:I would take all 3 of them above burgess.
