While I suggested this guy would be a good signing for us, that was completely geared towards NL1. In SL, he's not up to the job IMO. Yet an other very weak signing by the Polecats, long may they continue.

What, because they have a superbowl next door!

I am far from being bias, but the calibre of our signings if far in excess of the Polecats.

wakefield are treading water and will only survive because the team going up wont have the time to put a strong enough squad together, this will be the 3rd year running this will have happend and im sure it will go against them when franchises are been given out.

Add to that the feeling a lot of us have that Kear struggles to make an impact as a coach in the long term. He may well be out of a job come the business end of the season!

they'll survive this year due to hull kr going down , but next year if we go up they will go down , and it will be bye bye wakey i'm afraid , nto got the money , nor the fans , nor the backers , nor the attraction . all in all they're walking a dead end street . i hope

I think Hull KR could do them this coming season, but I can't see them achieving 19 points.

Does that innclude the year they made the play-offs?

Reading today's (27/10/06) Wakey Rag it outlines the Solo deal with Bradford and as expected, The Pussies think they've got the better of it. Brett Ferres is the young up and coming star who can easily replace Solo. Clutching at straws or what?

Unfortunately they remain my favourites for the drop. Unfortunately because I never tip right!

Imho i think it will be between Wakey and HKR for the drop. Personally i enjoy the derby matches with Wakey and wouldnt really want to lose them(although we havent beaten them for 3 years  ) but if its a choice between them and us for the franchise (which for some reason i feel they will pull out of the bag because "thousands" of fans will emerge and somehow they will end up with a new stadium) then obviously i will go for us :D

Surely the RFLshould look for longjevity with fans and not a turn out for a 1 off game, plus the behaviour of those fans showed exactly how caring they were of the Polecats.

But then the RFL seem to be blind, deaf and dumb.

Exactly, the RFL just make their own rules up to fit their profit margin

I understand the odd obstacle has arisen again on the Pussy stadium front but I do believe the fans will emerge in 2008 if they are still in SL.

The stadium situation does puszzle me as they do actually have a lot of positives in Wakefield to promote/support a stadium bid but suspect the Pussies are asking for too much. :p

End of the day FC, what good is a new stadium with no fans?

I appreciate your comment on the fact that perhaps they would fill it, but would you be willing to fund a stadium on the promise that it might be filled?

It all depends on the partners involved and why I said they have enough possible partners.
