Today’s scores

Post by HuddsTigers » 06 Jul 2019, 15:34

London 0-22 Wire

They face Hull and Saints in next two. Can see it being between them and KR for the drop now.

September is going to be huge when they face Leeds, KR and Wakey. 6 potential points that could either seal their fate or put others in the mire.
In the spirit of the final Blackadder episode - Goooodbyeee!

It's been an interesting year in the basement in that no one team has been cut adrift from the others.

It would have been good to see Leeds gasping for air but they look to have enough to be more than safe.

Difficult to predict especially with Tony Smith now at KR.

My view is that a move to 14 teams next term will happen and they will all be safe.

Nice idea
Don’t think there’s the money, the talent pool or the will to make it happen unless a media giant thinks there’s enough of an overseas market to justify them throwing a lot of money at it.

Spot on.

I also think the season would be better if all clubs only played one game at Easter but spread the games including the championship clubs across the weekend.

Also, make magic games a regular fixture rather than s contrived extra one.

Agree with 1 game over Easter by showing every game but magic cant be a regular fixture as teams will lose their home fixture income

If licensing came back in then you could alternate it each year so teams wouldn't lose out in the long run

Why not just give the takings to the 6 home sides, for most apart from the well supported clubs it would be worth more than their usual gate takings.

interestingly morgy says in his roar column that he would bring back licensing and fast track bulls and york to make 14 teams. 26 games plus magic.

At the minute we have a very exciting league with all sides something to play for how boring it would be going back to franchising as several sides would have already gone fishing.
Hopefully going back to 14 sides as to be the goal but lets not go back down the closed shop road.
