Great three quarter line now once Johnstone and Tupou are back from injury if Sa’u stays longer

Because Cas aren't dumb enough to offer a first team player for a 1 month loan deal.

We don’t have a quota spot free. And Salford wouldn’t sell when we did try to get him in January.

However, I do wonder whether with Clark going this opens the door for him to join us next season. May not have age on his side but could give us a strong short term option in the right centre berth for a couple of years like Webbo did (Sa’u is 32 and Webbo played while he was 34 nearly 35). Also knows Olpherts so could be two in who know each other, and both settled in this country.

Sa’u to replace Minikin
Olpherts to replace Gill and Egodo
Smith in to replace Maher (already done)

Leaves a replacement or two for Clark and Clarkson.

Aston is a tough one. Shown he can play well and deserves a chance but with Gale, Trueman, Ellis and Rankin (who we may be stuck with so we don’t have to get Wardle and his contract back) it’s whether he wants to stay.

Do wonder whether we may try and let Ellis go out on loan for the season next year with a view to a permanent deal and free up more cap space? Sure someone like Bradford, Leigh, Widnes may take him.

Good deal if it becomes permanent, Pauli Pauli is one of the laziest players I've ever seen.
