Re: Wigan salary cap breach
I know this is the RFL but as this is not their first offence, you'd think they'd be dealt a more severe blow.

Re: Wigan salary cap breach
Disgusting club.
Re: Wigan salary cap breach
£14,000 worth of agent payments which never got added to the salary cap in 2017, Wigan claimed they shouldn't be on the salary cap but have since agreed they should have been.

Re: Wigan salary cap breach
Apparently they're appealing the decision. Hope there given more of a deduction but knowing Wigan they'll win the appeal and be given a 2 point head start on everyone else. :-$

Wigan claimed that the agent worked for them and so the payments shouldn’t count, but this was proven otherwise.jackknife wrote:£14,000 worth of agent payments which never got added to the salary cap in 2017, Wigan claimed they shouldn't be on the salary cap but have since agreed they should have been.

Just what I like to see, Wigan already 4 points behind anyone who wins this weekend
Should be more than 4 though to be honest.

Re: Wigan salary cap breach
over on the wigan board they're blaming any one but themselves. mainly the rfl. however i watched tonights game with a mixed bunch of league fans from several different clubs and not one had any sympathy for the pies. it must be hard being a wigan fan just now but they have to see beyond the cherry and white tinted glasses and realise the reason every one hates them is because of their constant cheating both on and off the field.

Re: Wigan salary cap breach
And now Edwards makes a statement where he appears to be saying he's not certain to be coaching Wigan when lam leaves not looking so good for pies now wane gone as a few predicted might be the case ...

If Edwards doesn't go to Wigan they will announce Lam is staying and make out it was there choice.

Wigan Warriors have had the points reinstated following their appeal against the punishment for breaking the salary cap.

Re: Wigan salary cap breach
How many breaches constitutes cheating. It is a regular occurance but is just brushed under the carpet. The sport is a laughing stock. They lied to break the live cap.
Shame on you rfl.

Re: Wigan salary cap breach
Totally predictable. Any other club, and it would have been at least 12 points and no appeal allowed.derkster wrote:Wigan Warriors have had the points reinstated following their appeal against the punishment for breaking the salary cap.

Re: Wigan salary cap breach
Got poor Widnes with -12 because of greedy people running the club and then there's pie eaters cheating year after year.
What a joke, pays to be a cheat then?
