Because McShane offers nothing as a running threat and this makes him easy to read, thought Clark should have got far more game time than he did though.
Are you seriously suggesting Hodgson does offer a running threat? At best he takes a couple of strides then throws a pass and this combination actually slows down our movement around the halves.

I believe Roby is injured so I'd have Clark n Macca without a doubt.
No I'm not suggesting that, not a huge Hodgson fan, Clark would be in for me, but I was just pointing out maybe an area of McShanes game that needs to improve to get him in the national side. Macca is one of the most intelligent players in SL and would be the complete package if he just ran more.

Thought England were terrific today makinson and Connor will take the plaudits and rightly so but are forwards were immense took all that the kiwis could throw at them like you need to do in big games and then got completely on top last twenty minutes

What an outstanding test match that was. Makinson will rightly get the plaudits but our pack were immense. Dare I say the best pack in world rugby league? I certainly think so. Can’t wait to go to Elland Road next week to hopefully make it 3 zip in front of a sellout all being well!

thought whitehead was outstanding in our pack but they seemed to have sussed bateman out. had very little impact and made a few mistakes.

Shame for milner that Bennett would rather play a hooker at loose instead of him and only got on because clark got injured. Must of only played 15-20mins

It seems Bennett makes a few wrong choices for me, percival should be playing, adz was the obvious choice at 13, ratboy not in my team.

However you can't fault his results and choices. He sees things I can't in players and they play to his tactics perfectly.

NZ were probably the number one team and now we've won the series. Outstanding. I know it's here not in the southern hemisphere but they had a full team warm up against oz, we had half a team play France and without Sam burgess. Widdop and Gale.

Hats off.

Fans will always argue over who should and shouldn't have played but for me a clear message has come from this test series, England now have strength in depth, something we haven't had for a long time.

We're a long way off the next world cup but I'd like to think Bennett will build team around the new guys, dispensing of the likes of (dare I say) Roby, Hall, Graham, Watkins, et al. I would like to see a genuine goal kicker come in though as Connor is second choice at Hull, never mind England/GB!

Arguably the best national team we've had since mal Reilly's GB team that came so close to winning the world cup.

With such depth we could really win the next world cup, just wish everyone would get behind them rather than moaning which seems to be the RL fans way.

For once the rl made a super decision to appoint Bennett you can see how much the players want to give everything for him and I agree we've got best chance we've had in ages to win the world cup

Hearing daz Clark as broken his ribs.
So that will be 2 out for sure, George Burgess being the other.
Time to play a few fringe players next Saturday.

Hopefully adz will cover Hooker and 13. Nothing to lose.

Yeah I would like to see him get more minutes.
Just seen an interview he did after the game, looks like he as a broken nose.
Could be the reason he only did ten minutes.

I believe it was, if you look he runs off the field sharply. In the celebration photo with the players and staff on the field, his shirt is absolutely covered in blood.

With burgess out that should push Thompson up to prop and give milner a full shot at 13 but who knows what plans go through bennetts head.

To me, with Greenwood coming in it seems like that's the plan. But as you say, who knows what Bennett will do.
