The fact that Powell has publicly backed Shaun Edwards today should give everyone the reassurance he's going nowhere. Why would he say it if he wanted the job for himself?

I think theirs more to Shaun Wane leaving I think he did not want to sign Z H but radlinski and lenahan had talks and decided he was a to good a player to dismiss so therefore they signed him up.

Hate the guy and i hate the club; but what he's done for Wigan, he will go down as one of their greatest coaches. I suppose it's a dream for an hometown lad to go back to his club and win what he's won.
My Wigan mate (spit) seems to think that Tomkins leaving how he did and Zak coming in, may have played a part.

Coaches are measured by success. Wane plays ugly tactics to strangle the game and has lost the game fans. DPs tactics have done the opposite.
I think Wigan have their work cut out to change with the players they have, can't see DP wanting that.
