Watching the highlights the big lad Wellington Albert looked very good, plays for the hunters in the second division in oz, wouldn't mind a punt on him

Re: PNG
A little confused.
Didn't see the game but looked on BBC website and looked at the teams. They do not have Wellington Albert in the team but they do have Stanton Albert.
Googled both names and both exist. Wellington Albert is listed on wickipedi as a prop, lock or winger? Stanton Albert is his younger brother and shown as a prop only which is were he played for PNG today according to the BBC. Both now play for the Hunters apparently.
Clarification anyone?

Re: PNG
Not much point getting excited about PNG players as we have NO SPACES on the non-fed trained quota.
Re: PNG
I’m sure lo is being loaned out for the season to Sheffield so that would be 1Spanishtiger wrote:Not much point getting excited about PNG players as we have NO SPACES on the non-fed trained quota.

Only when Cas don't need him is the loan agreement so it's week to week.TT Tiger wrote:I’m sure lo is being loaned out for the season to Sheffield so that would be 1Spanishtiger wrote:Not much point getting excited about PNG players as we have NO SPACES on the non-fed trained quota.

Re: PNG
Ok, I've spent all afternoon ploughing through the RFL operating guidelines and this is how the Garry Lo situation can pan out ...
1) if Cas and Sheffield were to enter into a dual registration partnership then Lo could play for either team each week.
2) if the RFL grant special dispensation then he could be dual registered even though there is no recognised partnership between the two clubs.
3) Lo can be loaned out to Sheffield for periods of a minimum of 28 days without possibility of recall.
In cases 1 and 2 Cas retain the player as part of their quota.
In case 3 Sheffield would theoretically have to fit Lo into their quota spots, but the minute he returns to Cas he goes back onto our quota.
Therefore Lo will either be on our quota, or will not play a game for us all season in which case we would have 1 quota spot remaining to sign the full back or prop that almost all people on this forum are hoping for.
Unless the rules have changed, but seeing as the new RFL site was only introduced 2 weeks ago seems unlikely ....

Re: PNG
According to today's LE it would appear Mr Lo is playing at Cas to try and secure a spot with an NRL club!

Re: PNG
Fine by me. If he can produce the form to get him an NRL a deal he'll have been worth signing.Flat Capper wrote:According to today's LE it would appear Mr Lo is playing at Cas to try and secure a spot with an NRL club!
